I am flagging all videos on youtube or as many as I can find that show ANY footage of the brothers being killed or ANY footage that show their bodies being disrespected after they died. Its disrespectful and its not a tamasha. Some of us have had our loved ones lost or been directly affected by kidnappings, criminal targeting etc in Pakistan and what-not so I would imagine it would dearly hurt us if ANYONE saw their loved ones’ bodies treated with such disrespect or if we ssaw videos of them uploaded on every effing thing. Imagine the boys’ family and their reactions if they see their childrens’ videos being paraded around the internet. We cannot stop or delete ALL of them off the internet as we have no means to, but we CAN flag them especially on youtube and hence they may get removed. It sickens me and I am sure it does all you too. I was just on youtube listening to a talk-show about this and what do you know, it cut in the middle and all the rest of the video was the killings and the aftermath, someone obviously uploaded them under the talkshow title and inserted the video in between. Pathetic.
Please I suggest you do the same and flag them.
(Barbie and Namaan this was different to the other thread hence I decided to make a sperate one as its a different point altogether, thanks )
Thats great Shak, thank you for highlighting this! :k:
In addition to flagging videos on youtube and requesting them to be removed from the internet, it would be really appreciated if we could try and contact the news channels in Pakistan and express our concern over the phone/email
i know that was my very first reaction. Its not a show , people being killed or hanged upside down. I decided not to view the vid even when i came across it but i couldnt help ,its all over on the tv.
i know wht u mean ... i flag a video r u sure (tht utube admin ) will goona delete...r u sure they wil look at the video n willl goona delete it ... i m nt sureeeeee...
While I disagree with censorship of the Media in situations such as this, best of luck to you guys.
Why do I disagree? Because if this had not been broadcast, nobody would know, nobody would care and no actions would have been taken. Information is good. Providing such cases in the media lead to some general awareness on the matter amongst the masses. If there is even a little bit of change in their attitudes it is well worth it.
I have to agree with CM here, as disgusting as it is, without videos we have no proof that stuff like this goes on. Without the videos this story wouldn't have gone as high as it did to the Chief Justice of Pakistan. But at the same time I can see where you're coming from...there should be limits in place to stop it spreading the way it has. Especially on Facebook etc.
The same video is being shown over and over again, without any warning to people watching. The issue has been highlighted, there is no need to keep flashing the videos for weeks.
Request sent to religion mods to remove the link. Please flag the video on youtube because, as Shak said, thats where the videos need to be removed from.
I personally boycotted all the videos of this nature . Simply because it makes me feel sick in the guts . On the other hand I do believe in censorship of media and I think not every news is for general public . Even if it is , then not every bit of detail and footage . I think media should definitely discuss this event and highlight the people involved , but at the same time shouldn't show pictures of this gross event all the time .
