I have a DVD player that plays DivX and MPEG4 files. I downloaded some videos from Youtube that are in Real Player format (with the .flv extension). I tried downloading a free software that was supposed to convert the videos into Divx files … and it has, but it still isn’t playing on my DVD player. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
I downloaded Moyea FLV to Video Convertor Pro2.
Not sure what I’m doing wrong … or if I should try another software.
freeware, smaller application, simpler usage.. ur dvd player that plays divx/mp4 files should take the settings of :
format: avi, preset: high, video codec: anything with mpeg4, xvid, divx series should work.. but try testing mpeg4 first, play the file in divx player and see if your sound is sync’d with video
[added] forgot to tell u after installation, u need the button called FROM FLV, it has a job que that you can setup
what am i doing wrong? i was finally able to get the youtube clips to convert into .avi. it plays fine on DivX .... but when I tranferred and put it onto DVD, all my DVD is playing is the sound. There is no image.
yeah like confused said try changing codecs, usually the codecs selected are wrong when encoding thats why there’s only audio. If it still dont work then…
try encoding with dr divx it supports alot of files even .flv
