It is all subjective and what you think is right ego. Historically Muslims are great losers after partition. Partition weakened the power of Muslims in one India. Strengthening Pakistani Punjab with 99% Punjabi army, resulting in emerging of suicide bombers and jehadis, is not equivalent to strengthening whole Pakistan. Had British left alone India in original shape, Muslims would have been in much better shape what they are today.

I don’t know if we would have been better off in United India or not. I believe that the concept of akhand Bharat is a farce, subcontinent has been united for a very short period. If we talk of culture, Punjab and Sindh have commonality with northern India.
