Re: Plastic surgery
ok contact lenses and hair color canNOT be compared to plastic surgery.
One costs little and more importantly is temporary and can be reversed!
Surgery is expensive, permanent and has many potential risks!

Re: Plastic surgery
it's not about comparing the technique, cost, risk or permanency of the two, but the ultimate visual result.
Re: Plastic surgery
Firstly, certain surgeries and stuff like botox and fillers aren’t expensive at all anymore (tho of course ‘expensive’ is a subjective thing.. As an example a lip enhancement can often be cheaper than the cost of one formal shalwar khameez)..
Secondly, obviously a lot of them are** not** permanent (boob jobs, most fillers, botox, most non surgical nose jobs). Regarding potential risks it’s a** tiny** risk (as with most medical procedures or even just taking a paracetamol) here in the west but if ur clutching at straws I guess u would list that as a negative..
I bet if there was a permanent surgery that could turn a person fair skinned in one procedure loads of desis would be straight down the clinic rather than taking whitening creams for months or years on end with ingredients that are more risky used long-term than a single cosmetic surgery procedure (hydroquinone is actually banned in the UK unlike boob jobs lol, still doesn’t stop so many Pakistanis/Indians trying to get hold of it tho, does it)..
What makes me laugh is when ppl who describe themselves as ‘anti-surgery’ go on about how some celeb is so beautiful, not realising they’ve had some work done to transform their looks
An obvious one who has been mentioned on this forum and is often mistakenly called a ‘natural beauty’ is Queen Rania of Jordan.. There are a million Bollywood stars I could mention as well who the same ppl ooh and ahh over..

Re: Plastic surgery
^Confused much? You've described Katrina Kaif (nose job, lip job, facial fillers) as 'smoking hot' and Scarlett Johansson (nose job) as the 'the hottest woman alive' on here..
a. I doubt Scarlett Johansson got ass implants. And nose job or no nose job, she has natural beauty. So does Katrina. It comes off worse when unattractive people get cosmetic surgery to look better.
b. It's not I like I stand a chance or meeting/dating these women in real life, so I'm happy to take their features at face value.

i have no idea what to say to this. esp the bold part. whether you are ok with something, or you arent. simple.
Re: Plastic surgery
^Exactly.. Brilliant logic saying ‘well I won’t meet/date them’ as tho that has anything to do with it..
It’s obviously hypocritical to say u find surgery a ‘turn off’ then bleat on about Katrina Kaif, Scarlett etc. being so hot..
Regardless of what they looked like before it’s funny** u don’t exactly seem ‘turned off’ by the surgery, do u..**
And learn to read, I didn’t mention ass implants anywhere..
Scarlett..
Katrina..

Lol, I'm flattered that you went to the trouble of quoting my earlier posts. Like I said, I'm never up close and personal with these celebrities and as long as it looks all natural on the screen, I'm willing to take their beauty at face value. I don't exactly read Cosmo or keep up with the latest happenings in 90210, and yes in a potential partner I would find cosmetic surgery a distinct turnoff (other than nosejobs, which people also get for medical reasons). Booo so hypocritical of me, deal with it.

Yeah, cos sooo many people get nosejobs for medical reasons lol.. And just to point out you've just cotradicted yourself again:
Boob jobs are such a turnoff.** In fact, all cosmetic surgery is** once you've watched Dr. 90210.
So you've gone from saying it's all a turnoff to saying it's ok 'on screen as long as it looks natural' or if it's a nosejob (Again, confused much??)
And I only quoted you as I remembered what u had written from** just** a few weeks ago. Seems ur memory is as bad as ur sense of logic and reasoning in this thread (as well as ur manners). As for ur comment about it being a turnoff in a potential partner I highly doubt you'll even guess she has had surgery judging by how misinformed you are. Anyway, well done for the knee-jerk reaction, has shown up how much of a fool people can make of themselves when they mouth off without knowing their facts..
Like I said it's so amusing hearing desis knocking cosmetic surgery but then praising celebs who have been under the knife..
And regarding it being a turnoff most of the time in the 'real' world and on screen you're not going to know if someone has had one surgery (anyone with common-sense would realise one nosejob or boob job doesn't usually make a person look unnatural afterwards as tho they'll suddenly turn into Michael Jackson or Dolly Parton) so before making stupid statements use your brain and think how likely it is that most of the people who have had a small amount of cosmetic surgery prob aren't going to tell you and you prob won't be able to tell (unless u've known them for years or something or seen 'before' pics)..
Re: Plastic surgery
this …again for rizla…and i quote myself again ![]()
Re: Plastic surgery
:wtf:
I said I found cosmetic surgery a turnoff after watching Dr 90210, have you ever even seen how graphic that show is? I hate the artificial faces, boobs, etc. (complete with scars) they show, so naturally I would have an aversion to plastic, artificial faces and bodies. Scarlett Johansson and Katrina from what I’ve seen do not look plastic or artificial. I did not even know they’d had cosmetic surgery ffs, so the BLEEDING OBVIOUS thing I’m trying to say here is that noticeable cosmetic surgery (the kind they show in Dr 90210) is a turnoff, which isn’t the case here because I haven’t seen these celebrities off screen. Now if you’re going to spend the rest of your time here nitpicking my posts or my brains over a thread clearly meant for the insecure ladies with image issues, be my guest, I won’t let you spoil my mood on a day where I passed my final exam.
Re: Plastic surgery
Congrats man!!!
i heard result is pretty bad…
Re: Plastic surgery
First of all cosmetic surgery = almost permanent and long lasting effects. Make up and what not = temporary with no serious effects. So lets get that clear. Personally, I don’t have an issue with people who have cosmetic surgery done but of course I’d only talk about a serious defect.
Also, natural boobs are better than silicone boobs. I’m pretty sure anyone who’s squeezed a few in their life would agree.
Do you ever stop yourself to actually think about what the other person is saying?
Rizla said its a turn-off and he’s talking about his own personal preference as in say a girl walked up to him or he walked up to a girl and realised she had cosmetic-surgery done. Is this obvious enough or am I going to get more of you assuming what he’s trying to say? :hinna:
He said he’s going to take their beauty at face level because he isn’t bothered about what they’re doing to themselves as in he doesn’t religiously follow celebrities; most men don’t. He didn’t say its okay for them and not okay for others. Scarlett Johansson is freakin’ gorgeous and I’ll say that. It doesn’t mean that I must now accept everyone with cosmetic surgery into my personal life too.
I’m not sure why you find that so awfully incomprehensible. Good on you for your surgery and sure it might have helped you feel good about yourself but that doesn’t mean you can start attacking people who don’t agree with it on a personal level. Is it that hard to realise there’s more than one opinion in this world? :hinna:
Haha did you think for a minute that Rizla was obviously talking about people he would know about? Otherwise whats the point of this thread?
OP - What do you think about plastic surgery?
Reply - Oh I wouldn’t know about it so I’ll just shutup.
Seriously, no one likes a wise-ass!
P.S. Congrats on the finals Rizla!

Re: Plastic surgery
***Didn't Rizla use the phrase 'ALL SURGERY' is a turnoff, how exactly does that equate to not everyone who has had cosmetic surgery*
**
..and strangely you and Rizla have both chosen to ignore than quote and the fact he later said nosejobs were ok and so were celebs who had done it (as tho that's somehow different or makes it ok lol)..
Anyway, nice to see Rizla has got his backup over here to muddy the argument and will prob start picking at words and taking things out of context as he has no logical counter-argument..
He said 'all surgery' was a turnoff right after my post (and after it was mentioned in another thread about my own cs) and now suddenly after calling him up on it nosejobs and surgery for celebs are ok lol, could a person get any more two-faced..
And as for wise-ass I'm not the one constantly contradicting myself in this thread..
Anyway, carry on the two of u, am sure the other posters on this forum can see the difference between 'all surgery is a turnoff' and his later answers..
Keep up ur pathetic little digs at me, Rizla, you have just made a fool out of yourself on this thread because of it..

Re: Plastic surgery
Didn’t I just tell you he so obviously meant all surgery as in obvious surgery that he’d encounter?
How is it so simple for almost everyone to understand what he’s trying to say but you seem to take one meaning and twist it as much as you can. I got what he was saying straight away but you still don’t? Seriously how? :hinna:
