Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
Are your periods usually regular and how old are you?
Birth control pills are fine, but I would not recommend taking them for long periods of time without any gap. Simply because the body gets use to it and it can hinder and slow down chances of conception in the future. I had a patient who was on the pill for 3 years and it took her another 5 years to conceive. So that's just a suggestion to you.
It doesn't really matter when you take the pill, most start working right away and yes it will help with your acne and any irregularities in your period as well.
I wouldn't rely solely on the withdrawal method - because some men are not able to control it as well as others and it's better to be safe if you are not ready to have children. There are side effects with the pill, as there are with any medication - some women experience these some don't. If you experience any symptoms like nausea, high BP, irregular bleeding, etc. discontinue use and speak to your doctor immediately. Also hopefully you do not smoke, but if you do, quit. :) That can increase your chances of blood clots.

OP, no, you can't start the pill now because it'll screw up your cycle. Follow the doctor's directions.

the best method
.
.
.
abstinence
Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
A bit difficult to do that in a marriage, no? ![]()
Or who knows, maybe it isn’t, given all of the stories in life1 about marriages with no sex. Lol.
Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
That’s what i was thinking. But i guess they can read life1 together and spend that time in serious discussions.

Then again it’s not that hard. They can be affectionate without removing clothes. As an unmarried person i guess i can’t comment but how hard it can be to keep that going till one wants children. It’s all a matter of self control. 100% protection is only with abstinence.
jk with the above.
Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
Oh no, that’s not what I meant. There have been a couple of people on life1 who’ve opened threads talking about how they know such-and-such person who is married but does not sleep with their husband and are purely platonic. And of course it’s true, because their friend’s aunt’s nephew’s wife’s cousin’s sister’s sister-in-law’s third cousin twice removed told them about it. ![]()

Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
Immaculate conception, you see. ![]()

Well then the real challenge is to b abstinent after marriage, rather the ultimate challenge.

Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
You don’t have to worry about your skin any more.
Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
there is always risks associated with ANY medication you take. another reason to consider of of the many other options mentioned in this thread.
Re: planning contraception methods ahead of wedding
it has been 10 days i strated the pill.
more breakout on the skin :(
i started taking it a Saturday at 12.45pm..so i continued taking it at the same time every day. is this the correct time to take it? because it is literally just before my lunch.
apart from the skin breaking out, it gives me a very tired feeling. i am always exhausted as if i have not been sleeping for days and i feel hot all the time.
