Ok, so our big family Eid party (being held at my khalas house this year) menu has been decided and assignments on who is making what have been made…drum roll please:
Various appetizers will samosas, dahi barray, fruit tray and chips and dips..
Kachay gosht ko biryani (like that’s a surprise lol)
Bhagaray Baingan (again, no surprise)
Karhai Chicken
Aloo Gosht qorma
Salmon kebabs (my cousin makes these and they are amazing!)
Haleem
Some sort of pasta for the kids
Fresh naan from a restaurant
Dessert
Gulab Jamun
And of course, my now famous trifle!! I have been requested to make 2, the mango sunrise one and my triple berry lemon trifle
So no one cooks Sawaiyan, Sheer Khurma etc? My mum cooks three different types of Sawayaan and Eid Ul Fitar is considered incomplete without Sawayaan at my home.
Sheer khurma is a given!!! Just forgot to add it to the menu list. We have it at both naashta at my nani’s house right after Eid namaz, and again at the big party later in the evening
Khatti can you please give us the salmon kebabs recipe from your cousin? Im kinda bored of making shami kebabs, seekh kebabs and kachey keemey ke kebabs, really wanna try something different…thank u:)
Will have a barbecue pool party. My downstairs neighbor is crazy and called the cops when I had my housewarming party. Thus, I am throwing the dawaat/party at the pool area.
