"Were" was an interesting choice of word, as we are no longer what we were, anatomically speaking.
We still carry at the end of our spine, what is called a tail bone. It's a small boney protrusion which suggests that we had a tail once.
The goose bumps that you get when you feel cold, or when you are scared, is the reminiscent of a built in defense mechanism that our body had. These bumps are where the fur was attached to our body, and in times of danger, the goose bumps would make the fur standup, made us look bigger, kind of like what porcupines or bears do now in times of a threat
So we are no longer what we were. Not that i am suggesting that we have a potential to grow another heart.
Saree urdu shaeri kee aisee kum taisee ho jaa'e gee agar dou dil ho gaye har insaan ke. That song "dou dil mil rahai hain, magar chupke chupke" will not only lose the true meaning, but will become a pretty creepy song.
3 pages and no answer to OP’s question I was interested to know
The veins allow blood flow in one direction due to valves, venous grafts used in heart surgeries are placed in reverse, to allow blood flow in the opposite direction (ie to make them work like arteries)…this is all I can think of
Now what do you think about our feet? Instead of our foot forming an L shape in relation to our leg, what if it was a T junction? Half of the foot in front of the ankle area, and other half protruding backwards. don’t you think that it would’ve given us better balance? Babies would be able to start walking earlier in their lives. That means they could potentially become independent earlier. Only hindrance would be that when we sleep on our back, our toes would not be facing the ceiling. We had to reset or feet sideways
^It will be very difficult to evolve from an L shape to a T shape simply because from the first Tiktaalik all the way to us, there hasn't been a T shaped foot anywhere in the line. Who and where are we going to get that gene from? I wonder if you could cause that mutation to happen unnaturally by directing Hox genes. hmm.
Eagles, falcons etc have the feet with three toes facing forward, and one facing backward. Parrots and woodpeckers have two facing forward and two backwards. If I remember correctly, there are some species of dinosaurs who also have a rear facing claw type protrusion.
Those all are T shape profiles, if you think of it

Yes except that we didn't evolve from dinosaurs. We evolved from small mammal like reptiles that existed around the same time dinosaurs did but were older than dinosaurs. Birds, reptiles, dinosaurs evolved separately and the small mammals evolved separately into different primates. Even then I don't think the ancient reptiles or amphibians had feet protruding backwards. There is still a lot that we don't know about animals that walked the earth long before we appeared on the scene so no one can say for sure. Maybe we will dig up a fossil soon that will show transitional species with feet protruding backwards.

Uffoh baba, I am saying what if ...? I am not trying to say that we could.
Did you know there is a sex demon called Succubus that rapes men in their dreams?
About the pichel Pehri, my cousins back home used to tell stories that she lived in the alley behind their house. She could pick a better area that is all I am saying.
