Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

This thread is ridiculous and the very notion of changing names of cities to Arabic made me puke. Really. A little bit, in my mouth. Don't erase history because you think somehow another language is supreme. That just makes me think of the Taliban destroying the old statues of Buddha. Disgusting. If you want to negate history, don't procreate, please.

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

As I suggested the names can be changed to honour Chinese. I believe most of the people who opposed the idea really don't know how Chinese cities are named. So here is an idea. A lot of Chinese cities end with the suffix zhou, e.g. Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Chaozou etc.

So you could start renaming, yes Haripur again, as Wenzhou for the Chinese PM Wen Jiabao. Nurpur could be renamed Huzhou for Chinese president Hu Jintao, get it? There could be a billion dollar refinery from China for this mamuli gesture.

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

What Sheikhs of Kuwait need is a kick in their asss.. why the hell we should do anything for arabs!!! We should honor such great people like Sir Ganga Ram etc. who have done wonders rather than some good for nothing parasite sheikhs..

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) in India wants to change the name of many places bearing muslim names like Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Allahabad and the list is endless. They have also identified several thousand mosques which should be grounded and converted into temple.

I think if you had been a Hindu then you would definitely have been a prominent member of VHP. Why don't you people learn the wisdom of religious tolerance and be proud of your past heritage and rather think something which has practical benefit to common man in Pakistan.

^
The starter of this thread is an Indian Hindu, he is being sarcastic as he thinks Pakis are Arab wannabes because he's too brainless to differentiate between Arabian cuture-ethnicity and the Islamic faith. We are proud to follow the universal and true religion of Islam and are glad that we abandoned Paganism but we've not become Arabian, we're proud of our Pakistani/Indusian culture, even those aspects such as language which India has hijacked from us as it doesn't have its own heritage....

Talking of Mosques, these fundo Hindu idiots even like to tell themselves that the Holy Kaabah and the Taj Mahal are ex-Hindu temples, they have no heritage, first they steal Pakistan's Sanskritic languages simply because they follow the religion that was enforced upon them by Vedic-Sanskritic Indusian's (Ancient Pakistanis), now they want to lay claim to every pretty architecture in the world as their own... They are jokers, lol, they want their heads checking...

When I talk anti-India I don't mean to hate on Muslim Indians, I swear by Allaah I love them and my blood boils when I hear about them suffering under Hindu oppression, just today I was watching a Ayodhya documentory and the murders of Muslims that occured at the hands of Indian police after the demolishing of Babri Masjid made me sick...

It is people like that which make me sick of India, it is not only those Hindus that are openly fundo but even those who pretend to be secular and take religion as jest (when it suits them) sometimes turn extremely nationalist to the Hindu cause and at times and will say and justify some sick things (personally experienced), we Muslims are consistent with our views so everyone knows where we stand but Hindus are very flexible and there's no telling whether they mean something when they say it... At times they will act brotherly but then they will go saying we're foreigners to the South-Asian Subcontinent even though we're local converts, they will treat us as Maleech (filthy untouchable)... Even Bollywood and Indian music videos present Desi Muslims as terrorists, entertainment is suppose to build bridges not burn them, the only way they can get "Muslim-friendly" is by depicting Muslims girls as sluts who turn their backs on their values and religion and elope with a Hindu guy (why on earth would any girl want a veggy-kneed pansy?).

I don't hate anyone for no reason and wish everyone got on regardless of religion or ethnicity but when I see the attitude of some Hindus I am greatful for Pakistan, at least I feel safe for my family and self.

What better can be expected from a people whose educated politicians in this day and age make human child sacrifices of low castes to Dark Mother?...

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

Bull crap…:omg:and you and roadrunner didn’t prove anything. It is aryan pakistanis who invaded the subcontinent and destroyed indusian civilization and in the end, claim it as something their own…:omg: You can start another thread for this and get some history lesson (from neutral sources. go google and check it).
and dont worry about heritage of india…if I start about this there is no end of it. I can go on and on. I am talking about present day india

Hillarious thread............Its really funny to read how expatobserver got few pakis fuming and spitting poison left right and center. Someone in this thread also wrote that he was watching Babri majid demolition documentary in his free time........Hey guys, get over it, Its been over fifteen years since that took place, you need to find a better hobby.....LOL, nvm, but I can bet my week's pay that I met some guppies who would love to kiss any Arabs @$$ for mooollah rather than supporting western Goras..

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

okay genius
it doesnt matter if the suffiz pur was persian or sanskrit. As long as it doesnt have a "hindu" meaning or relation it should be kept. Changing pur because sanskrit is affiliated with a language that carries itslf in hindu holy books is dumb. It was the language in our land for quite a while. We share a ton of history with Indians. In fact we WERE Indians. Why would we want to erase our history? It is something we should be proud of. Why do we have to have arab names. Just because Islam originated in Arabia? It makes no sense. History is something you cannot change. There is no point hiding it. We are pakistan. Take it or leave it. We do share history with hindus and it does reflect so in our culture. As long as it does not affect our relgion, we are fine. Another example would be bride wearing red. Sure, its a thing we share with hindus. But its significance is okay and it doesnt screw up nikkah does it? This name business is the same way.

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

Well, its nice to honor our foreign counterparts, but changing names is no good idea. All these places ending with pur were mpstly riasats. So the aristocrats who gave up these lands to the government would object to this idea itself. Anyways if we build new towns or areas to extend our cities, we can honor them there. Eg. Sheikh Khalifa of UAE can have a Khalifabad area. This can be part of Kent area in some good city.
Guys another idea. Now that Pres. Bush is going out of office, why not have a BUSHNAGAR. COMMENTS will be highly commended. Hehehehehehehehe

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

Here is an idea. In return for resigning, you should name Rawalpindi Mushrrafabad.

Re: Place names in Pakistan need to be changed

Puram (Hindi: pur) is a Sanskrit word meaning village, fort, or dwelling. -pur or -puram is a common suffix for cities in India. In the Sangam literature, Puram denotes the subject matters that deal with war, politics, wealth, etc.
