I think when you're eating Pizza, it's best to keep it simple.....with simple accompaniments. Using too many accompaniments may even overwhelm or get in the way of enjoying the taste/flavors of the pizza if that makes sense.
But simple accompaniments could include soda (I prefer Pepsi).....garlic bread....or fries....caprese salad.

if at home, we just eat pizza as it is. If for others, i will do pasta with it.

Depends on the type of pizza.
If it's authentic Italian styley with ingredients of good quality, then a side salad it is.
Else, if it's one of those desi fastfood stodge style pizzas with a million and one toppings...then fries, chicken wings,potato wedges, coleslaw...the works. :D

depends on the pizza. deepdish, handtossed or thin and crispy, the sauce and then the toppings.

MMMM, chicago style deep dish pizza. That's so filling, you don't really need an accompaniment.

I had a feeling that argument would come up. It’s got a bread base…it’s got sauce…it’s got cheese…and it’s baked…that’s a pizza to me.
And a pizza is considered a pie by some.
Pizza… pie… flat bread…: tomato …tomaaato.
SUE ME! I don’t much care for the jargon. I just eat it, yum!

RV, i do enjoy a chicago PIE once in a blue moon, but i think it’s sacrilegious to even associate that THING with something as beautiful as an authentic Italian pizza. Dio mio
