Re: I need something different for Valima

HEY ALL,
what is this peshwaaz and anarkali styles with churidar and other dress style(bridal/formal) names in Pakistan. can someone post some nice pics for more info. i am from india and doesn't knows about pakistani styles, but love to have some nice dress styles from Pakistan and believe me I just love ur bridal dressing styles. Marvellous. I am just sick of the same Indian lehnga style with more stupid dupatta style. can someone help me out so that I can wear very unique at my sister's wedding and a nice wedding dress for her as well.
thanks.

Oh my.

Uhm. more power to her? :D

Pishwaz as a Valima Outfit

hey folks, My inlaws r thinking for making pishwas as bridal dress of walima what do you think its ok and will it be okie? Or should i ask to make them some lehnga

A slightly heavy Peshwas would look really nice :)

Re: Pishwaz for walima

ooh i am starting to see more and more brides wearing peshwaz for valima and it looks so pretty, very regal! my husband's cousin is getting married and his fiance has requested the inlaws to make her a peshwaz for valima as well. i think it looks really elegant. i remember my chachi wore one like 10 years ago, she looked stunning in it. make sure you pick nice colors and have heavy kaam on it.

Re: Pishwaz for walima

Pishwas looks nice as my cousin wore one on her mehendi and it looked kamaal...

Re: Pishwaz for walima

My cousin wore it on her valima about 15 years ago, she looked great, mahaAllah. But It's more of a mehndi style for me than valima.

Re: Pishwaz for walima

I think it'll be lovely.

Re: Pishwaz for walima

I love peshwaas...I had one in my bari and its always been my favorite outfit. I think if you make the dupatta and outfit really heavy just like a wedding jhora and keep the length just about touching the ankle..it will look different than most brides and still make you look like a beautiful bride.

If you are in Pakistan or have Indian store nearby, why not try some suits out to get an idea?

Re: Pishwaz for walima

i had to wore one 10 years ago on my shaadi, but it looked nice... without heavy kaam... it was maroon & gold with a churidaar pajama...
