He told me something about 7 levels of meditation etc…
I found the whole thing very interesting. Does anyone know anything more about this where did this concept of pir come from?

Sometimes these peers have powers but a lot of times they are fake. Its because of these peers that Islam spread in the sub-continent. Peers or Fakeers, who are genuine can cure disease or even tell your future- but again it all depends whether he is genuine or faking it. One way to tell he is genuine is finding out whether he is doing for money- if he is doing it for money, he is a fake. But if he is not doing for money, he is blessed by Allah(swt)- of course our brainwashed Wahabi/Salafi brothers will not understand this. All they understand is to become slaves to Arab morons and buy their version of Islam.
