Pilates

(apologies if this has already been discussed)

has anyone tried out this form of worknig out? i first heard about it from a relative in canada.. and then a friend of mine whose just come from US said shes been doing it as well and has lost 10k.. !! Another friend said she’d done it for a week in HK and thought it was deceivingly difficult…

I got the dvd yesterday to check it out.. and well i worked on it for about 40 minutes… hmm well i think its pretty good.. i reckon anyone could basically do it.. but am i doing it wrong cus i dont find it hard? or are there various kinds of pilate exercices?

yeah…i went out and got the pilates dvd too and used it once or twice…i didn’t find it very difficult either and believe me, i’m in very bad shape…no stamina whatsoever!

i'm sure u can still lose weight using the pilates tapes, even if u don't find it difficult.
exercise is mostly just about repetitiveness (?sp)...and i'm sure if you use it once or twice, you'll find some hidden muscles u didn't know existed...
so, i wouldn't give up on it...i'd still continue it for a couple of days to see if you feel anything, any difference???

kewl yeah..... im gonna give it two weeks and then see how useful it is... if all fails then im gonna rob my friends house and get her video... hmmm

and when u r robbing your friends house, see if there’s any tae bo videos there??? i’ve been meaning to try that for a while, but couldn’t find it on dvd.

Pilates - i have heard from several people that it really works…so keep it up!
i think i’m going to start up with it too!
i went and played tennis today, for an entire hour and a half!!!
it was great…and i felt so energized by the time i got home!
i just wish i can motivate myself to do some form of exercise on a daily routine, but i can’t help it…i’m sooooo lazy! :bummer:

yeah i will try to keep it up... ive sorta been slack on my walks for the past week so this may be good... i think i need change and this might be the thing... then ramzan is coming up neways... and its just gonna go downhill from there..

yes, i played tennis on indoor courts today for an hour and a half!!!
u c i was supposed to play yesterday, but we couldn't reserve any courts for saturday...but all the courts were completely deserted today ;)

I've been doing pilates 3 times a week for 3 months. It is amazing. It really strengthens your body and helps tone arms, legs and abs .... if you keep at it regularly of course. It's a really good workout that pushes all of your limits (or at least mine) without having me break out into an unattractive sweat.

so? Mehnaz - does this mean that when u started out, u didn't feel it too much either...but are noticing the results?
i usually feel like i haven't exercised if i don't sweat!

i'm not happy...i don't know whats wrong, but i'm feeling...
bored, blah, confused, and have this knot in my stomach.
whoever i talk to...keeps asking whats wrong wid me???
and won't believe that nothing's actually wrong with me...
its just that i don't wanna study, i don't wanna work on my presentation, i just don't wanna do anything at all!
i feel nauseated...i've gone through my entire phone book on the phone and talked to everyone that was home, even friends from way back when, but still, this feeling won't go away! :(
