my friend tied her hair (like a side pony but not so obviously to the side) and curled the bottom (her hair is medium long) and had it coming out on one side with her dubatta still pinned to the middle part of her head so the top was still showing and then she wore hoops made out of fresh flowers, it looked gorjus..
sorry dont have pics!
and my other friend did the same with a paranda matching her outfit, it lukd sooo nice mashallah..
personally i think dubatta on the head whether its full or semi covering the head looks really nice! it mks u luk like the bride.. iv been to mehndis where some girls have had the hair out and they dont stand out as much - but thats jus my opinion
while wer on this topic...is everyone going for the yellow and green?? i want to add another colour in mayb like a pink or purple...my friend did red orange and yellow and her sisters worse red and orange it lukd great..
that side ponytail idea sounds really pretty! you have long-ish hair, no, pf? that might work really well for you!
my mehendi outfit was gold & dark green with accents of turqoise and red.
i've seen lots of people wearing yellow and pink, turqoise and green, pink and green, yellow and red, a friend of mine did green, orange and pink and it looked really good... so you have tons of options!

SGC I actually loved your mehndi outfit, where did u get it made from and how much did it cost ya, if you dont mind telling :p
Wow! thts a really affordable price, how did u get it made exactly as you wanted? Did u send the pictures off to the lady or she had this design already ?
i sent her pics and instructions on what i wanted and she got it done. she used silk jamavar for the gharara and crushed silk for the dupatta (as in the picture) and it had kundan and diamante kaam on it.
More pics please!!! I'm looking for hair down styles as well!!!
Doesn't tying your hair up give you a headache? I can't stand it for more than 5 mins....plus I don't think it's a very flattering look on most ppl!!
ths kinda paranda luk come out really traditional
dupatta can be pinned up on this hairstyle
i kno these pics are already on this forum but just posted them again to help ya
