My mum just informed me she heard that all planes to Pakistan are cancelled till later this year as a new PIA planes are being devleoped is that right?
Can anyone confirm?

the latest i know , was there was some problem with a few planes , but they followed their routes , presently i'm unsure

pia too scary i avoid it like the plague!! half of their planes all banned from the EU for not being upto safety standards...use alternative airlines till they get their act together..

PIA shouldn't renovate or refurbish their planes, they should buy new ones & not only boeing but also consider Airbus or MD.
If they will refurbish means they are solving the problem temporarily since most of Airbuses 300s & 310s they have are (if not already expired then) near the end of their life. Since PIA has routes to North America & UK, instead of Airbuses 32X, they should consider 34X models.
Waisay, I'd say, may God bless PIA. The way Pakistani Politics going, seems like "Allah nay haath naa pakra to" everything will suddenly crash.

How do u expect an airline to buy new aircrafts when it is incurring a loss of 900,000 RS per day?

Sorry article (mentioned there) is in Urdu but I am sure u can read it, if not plz ask someone to translate it for you. That clearly shows how PIA does the Technical business & what quality of work comes out when people are inefficient or if head count is half than it should be. If they are in loss, why millions of rupees are paid as bonuses to big shots in PIA? Instead they should be fired.

I can read urdu very well. I’m not justifying anything. No one is paying millions of rupees to them, they pay themselves bcoz they are the ones who are at the top of the heirarchy and are responsible for the mess PIA is in today. THese people are answerable to the govt only and govt is not bothered. Agreed they should be fired.
