Whether opposition parties like it or not, PIA is over. No more subsidy here. Its either a new airline in 120 days or these people need to get to work. No if then but about it! As of this morning, Pilots saw the writing on the wall and they are back to work. They are of higher intelligence so they have seen its Over for them and they have to perform to be retained. For all the pseudo intellacts here, what you say about the striking group already broken now. Govt is actually playing very nicely and their strategy is working. In my personal opinion, regardless of whether PIA is privatized or not, 19000 strong workforce need to be cut down to half. Govt should give clear choices to these people some thing like take this or take nothing. I have no respect or sympathy with Strikers period. Give them 2 days notice to show up, if they dont, nothing for them, create new airline, enough people are available for work.

agreed…it is critical that govt does not show weakness against this blackmailing. PIA cannot run like this. but i am sure there are many hard working folks in pia. somehow govt needs to separate them from these blackmailing looters. fire these looters, let those hard working folks come back to work and then slowly but gradually privatize PIA. railway, steel mill shd be privatized as well. but all of this shd be done in an open and transparent way.

opposition parties are playing politics here. what is PTI stand? they need to come clean. do they support PIA privatization in principle or not
