it all depend where u r and what u r doing like, some men are very excited abt gals and if they are even touched by them thats it, there are expections once u get use to gals u won’t get alot of erections :hehe:

It's very biological. Once upon a time, man was required to produce many off springs in order to propagate the species. Man also had many partners because of a short life span and high accidental fatality rate. Therefore it's in our genes to be more aroused and in a ready state then females. This theory is also the basis for the phenominon that men look at and have tendencies toward other women(multiple partners). Not saying that it's an excuse but who are we to go against mother nature.

the girl i work with, tina, she was surprised after she read the thread with me that men have an average of 11 erections per day. she asked me if it’s true :blush: i said well i don’t know where 714 got the statistics from but it’s true to an extent :stuck_out_tongue:

like americandesi said, if you are not used to hugging girls or being with girls, you’ll get very excited if a girl only touches you. but if hugging and kissing is normal for you, then you won’t have as many erections because there won’t be any reason for you to get excited, because all this will be normal for you.

i wanted to add something here. if you drink milk before you go to sleep, you get many more erections than if you sleep without drinking the milk. and those erections are strong and last long. maybe there are some exceptions.

It should be considered what kind of sample was used for such a survey? Who were the men?

involved ? and other background information. Were they married ? Where they in a relationship? Sexually active or inactive ? Plus How do you define a "day". A normal working day? or a week end? .... or holidays?... or a day spent on their Honeymoon?
Personally, I do not think men with men on a busy/ or an average working day can experience an average of 11....maybe on a day with absolutely no work and thoughts stimulated internally or externally .......

I do not think it should be taken so as a definitive guide for all men. Cuz I think it depends on a lot of factors. Internal and external...
Some times it would just be a natural and are uncontrollable phenomena, (minority of them, yet do not think the frequency would be as high 9 or 11.) Yet the rest I guess depends on the mental state and thoughts...

thanx for ur replies guys! but ok, again, i understand that these statistic are very possibaly incorrect, but it was a way to start the topic. the general issue here is about men being turned on all the time. I just hear the way my guy friends talk, and of course there are always the stereotypes of ever-horny men. So i just wanted an idea and other peoples opinions on the subject...

i have read a detailed article regarding the diffrence of men and women's degree of arousal

men are very easily aroused,may it be something erotic, a thought or even a plain move....
while girls dont get so aroused....maybe in exceptional cases they do but not most.

there was also some detailed explanation why it happens...thanks to men's enraging harmones and other chemicals in the body.

there are some other things that may directly influence the frequency of arousals. The days, I am really active, such as on strenous workouts, I feel sexually aroused for no particular reason. Also, if you eat stuff such as mussels, clams etc, they tend to give you unnecessary erections; without even thinking about any particular, you just get one :D so these are just some additional factors to consider.

everyone-Thank you for your replies! I always did love biology :wink: Anyways, its interesting to me why things are the way things are. I always need reasons :smiley: but i guess God knows his reasons and its for the best.
I think i read/heard/learned somewhere that the natural inclination of men is too “spread their seed” and reproduce as much as possible (something like that). I guess that has a lot to do with it as well. shrugs sure, why not?

this is just to give u a medical reason for why men r more aroused then women,actually the centre in our brain which controls our sexual drives and everything related to sex is more active or lets say the pathway is more active in men than in women hence men end up with being stimulated more then women.ofcourse there r a million other reasons to this but this i sthe core of the matter.!!

I've noticed that i'll get less erections in the day and more in the night if i am really tired or busy in the days. but it is the other way around if i am totally relaxed during the days.

sometimes it gets really annoying like when your in a situation and get an erection without being anywhere near the thoughts of sex.

i usually get erections without even being aroused or thinking about sex, the only time i get aroused is when i am with someone and in that situation.
