Our long distance bill arrived today. It was $652.00 Total call time to Pakistan was 90 minutes and our rate is $0.33. With that rate, the bill should’ve been out $30, but looking at the bill, it seemed like they charged about $6 per minute.
Dad had called them to cancel the service a week ago. The lady didn’t wanna cancel it and kept offering him other deals. Being a desi, dad didn’t hang up and kept arguing with her instead She probably got pissed off and look at the results. Anyway, I called back asking them if this was some kind of sick joke. The lady had no answer, kept me on hold for a long time, didn’t talk to me much due to embarrassment (probably) and said I’ll resend it to our other dept., they will recalculate it and send you another bill. You can call us next week and check the updated balance.
Everyone’s jaws were dropped when the bill arrived today
yeah one time i signed up for aol 30 day service and when i wanted to cancel... i called them and they started arguing with me telling me to pay and keep the service... i tried cancelling it 3 times but they wouldnt listen... finally my dad called and got it cancelled... the lady was acting like a total a**. anyway, they never sent a bill at least i dont think
