i had a khara dupatta made when i was younger for my phuppo's wedding and a hyderabadi aunt of mine oversaw the pinning of the dupatta and i just remember the dupatta being really, really, really long, and then it had to be pinned in a particular style.
im confused though- are angarkha and khara dupatta the same thing?
i think the best part about this look is anyone can pull it off - its very forgiving i think… also IMO looks better with a longer kameez… with a shorter kameez if you’re not completely fit, i can see it looking like maternity wear because its a lot more poufy-looking. plus its mostly worn with churidars and i think those look prettier with longer kameezes too so you pretty much only see the churi bits at the bottom and maybe a little calf.

unless you're short and petite and a long kameez just hides you lol.....maybe a kameez a lil above the knees?
not too sure but I do want one
