Re: Peshwaaz/Anarkali Dresses
I like the way Anarkali style dresses look but I worry they won't look good on me. I am really thin and I feel as if these dresses only work for girls with some meat on their bones, any thoughts?
Re: Peshwaaz/Anarkali Dresses
actually the ones with meat or too much meat shouldn't wear these kinds of dresses at all! i'm sure you'll look great in them if you're thin
Re: Peshwaaz/Anarkali Dresses
The cut of the dress would not suit a chubby person coz it might make them look too big
they would only look nice if they are sown properly
otherwise they would just look like frocks
Re: Peshwaaz/Anarkali Dresses
Yeah that's right.
Re: Peshwaaz/Anarkali Dresses
Anarkali’s have been in fashion for a while its just the style of them thats changed to mak them look more modern and sophisticated :k: alot of the stuff in here is very nicely designed and i love some of the colour combo’s
bright colors mixed with ark colours are working together very nicely for alot of colour combos
and the style of the dress wouldnt suit somone very short because they have to go to certain length it depends how big you are on the waistline and the way its cut there are so many different ways for these to be cut and made and people make alot of mistakes trying to cut them and the outcome isnt as great as they had hoped.
what you need is something to compliment your figure and colours that suit and compliment your own skin tones ![]()
I absolutely love this outfit!
Where would I be able to find it? Does any of the websites carry it?
i really liked the one raveena wore to zee cine awards :biggthumb
Oooh mashaallah that really is a gorgeous dress
^ Would you happen to know who has designed it? My sister's wedding is coming up and I'd love to wear that (or something similar) to her Nikkah ceremony.
Re: Peshwaaz/Anarkali Dresses
There seem to be two versions of them -- one that has a very empire waist, the other that has a top that's fitted (almost corsetted) then comes out frocklike form the waist. Maybe those feeling they can't pull off these outfits can work with one style or the other.
Re: Peshwaaz/Anarkali Dresses
usually the empire waist dresses are easier to pull off. Even girlson the heavy side can wear them but the ones with the fitted bodice and the bottom part all gathered at the waist are probably better suited for leaner girls.
