Today, world is so advance that even eclipse can be predicted years ahead. To know where the Moon is at any particular time of the day is basic science. Obviously, no one could have really seen Moon in NWFP on Saturday, as there was no Moon above horizon in NWFP that anyone could have seen it on Saturday. That is different matter that we are talking about NWFP, where logic or scientific realities does not work. Sometime people in this area can see back of a donkey and can claim that they saw Moon. There is possibility that someone might claim that they saw Moon but in reality they saw their neighbour ‘Moon Khan’ or saw their wife whom they in love might be calling ‘Chaand’.
Anyhow, here is discussion on Moon sighting in NWFP and logical answer by someone (Dr Muhammad Farooq Khan) from NWFP who celebrated Eid on Sunday … even though admitting that Moon sighting in NWFP could not be anything but illusion (last video) … though most surprising thing is that, why this illusion only occurs in NWFP every year and not anywhere else in Pakistan.
