Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
In any case, update on the issue. Pervez Khattak stated in the assembly today that the only reason for using the helicopter was that he was short on time, and wanted to make it back for the budget session. He paid the fuel bill for the chopper ride out of his pocket the next day. Case closed.
Isn't it the change IK wants to bring in pakistani culture? Who thought a CM of a pakistani province would be answerable to an assembly and explain his use of an official helicopter?

hahahah! good one! ![]()
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
Problem is not an average Joe joining/supporting the party but the people who get tickets and awarded a post which requires qualification/credibility. Nobody would know if it was not raised in media whether he would’ve paid for it by himself or not, it does not set a good precedent.
Hopefully next time he will rent a chopper instead of using government resources and then “pay it by his own pocket”.
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
again both cannot be true here… he is most likely making it up
there are two possible scenarios
first, if we believe Khattak that he paid “bill” from his own pocket then we will have to agree that IK was naive enough to issue that outrageous snubbing statement for PK. even after knowing that PK had paid the “bill” from his pocket, how come IK snub him like that and instead not tell the critics tho shut up because PK paid for it himself. and if you say that IK didn’t know about PK paying it from his pocket before he issued the condemnation and barred him from using the heli again, them it was a knee-jerk reaction from IK, he came in pressure from social media and issued that statement without knowing PK’s story
second, if we believe that IK’s reaction was right, and he had investigated before issuing that statement (he took more than 30 hours to issue that statement, which means he did investigate) and he found it to be miss use and felt necessary to stop PK from using the heli again, then PK is just making it up and trying to save his image among, which is not going to work.
now if “lovers” close their eyes and say amanna saddaqna on everything, still its hard for them because they have to choose one, either IK was right, or PK is right. both cannot be right at the same time. take your pick
PS: and by the way, how do you “pay the bill” of a official trip after using helicopter? its not a rent-a-heli service, is it? if he did pay the bill, who decided what’s the bill? who authorized? who collected money? what mode of payment? how much? lame excuse, try again Khattak sahab. it was better if you kept quite, SM gave better excuse than you when she said you did it to save time and to come back to Peshawar in time to attend the budget session.
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
now its confirm, he didn’t actually pay it himself already. he’s asking for bill from CAA now, after being denied use of heli again by IK, and after fierce criticism from his own voters. good thing. in other words, he’s being made to pay the expense from his pocket, the way authorities were asked to deduct “welcome ad” expense from zafar abbas luk’s salary.
good thing is that, PTI voters didn’t let it go, and didn’t brush it under the carpet. unlike first few posters in this thread, majority took it to Insaf forum and asked for correction. I don’t see any other party has this kind of affiliation with their leadership. good job IK
