Thats a bit over the top Id say. For me, its not as if there is no corruption in PTI. The difference between PTI and other parties for me is that of accountability. Addressing every misstep and miscue is the only way forward.
I personally am loving this new phenomenon of people taking politicians to task for any miscue that is avoidable. Almost every public outburst is replied to by Shireen Mazari, Asad Umar or even Imran Khan on twitter. You wont see such a microscope on any other party. This should certainly help eliminate corruption in KPK in particular, and PTI in general within the first few months. It will also put parallel pressure on other parties to follow suit.
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
read this on fb : IK took notice of CM heli visit, IK made it clear to CM not to do this again.
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
IK took notice and finally, and not only told PK to not to repeat it, he has restriction PK from using official heli altogether. probably for sometime till the dust settles on this one incident.

This needs to come out in the open on news/media, I can make a "news" on Facebook but that may not really be as credible.

we dont see such microscopic observation on other parties because no other party has come to power with the claim of being completely clean and new and catalyst of change. some came to power because of their legacy (PPP) some for their work (PMLN) some just came anyway (Baluchistan)
while PTI has come to power to rid our country of corruption and all misfortune.
this after all is good for the country, promotes healthy competition and craving for performance
well done IK for tacking notice and acting appropriately.

this is already in news, with reference to his twitter post though, a press release from party would be more desirable, but something is better than nothing

Its not "nothing", when party makes commitment to people for not using government resources for personal use then they must stick to it otherwise there will be no difference in PTI vs PML-N or PPP.
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol

wasn't you saying yesterday that its fake news? remember, most of the time such "fake tweets and news" come from where?
and how its "nothing"? advocate of change and nayapakistan and transparency and austerity and what not, used official helicopter for his personal matter, nothing? seriously?
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
Imran Khan has become a babysitter. the party ethos should be exuded by all the members esp one as senior as a CM. why do they need IK to watch/approve/correct their every move?
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
PESHAWAR: Outraged at Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak’s extravagant helicoptering to a Valima (wedding feast), Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, Tuesday told him that was the last time he (Khattak)traveled by a state chopper, Geo News reported.
Khattak, who had, right after taking oath, announced to espouse strict austerity measures, just couldn’t help wowing the guests at his friend’s son’s wedding feast in Jilala village, Haripur.
He traveled to the city by official helicopter after burning fuel worth millions of rupees, experts say.
Party leader, Imran Khan’s decision came on the heels of an uproar all over the social media against Khttak’s squandering jaunt to Haripur at the expense of the taxpayers’ money
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
finally some action after so much hue and cry on social media (and PTI's own forum)
three things have become very clear out of this
1) news paper associations and credibility (Nawai Waqt = PMLN. quick to pick anything against PTI and tries to delay bad news about PMLN, Duniya = PTI, quick to show anything bad for PMLN and good for PTI, tries to hide bad news of PTI)
2) Doubts on Khattak from many in the party were not baseless.
3) IK is holding on to his commitment and responding to public concerns. appreciate that, good job

This is because many joined the PTI bandwagon seeing the 'tsunami' coming and not because they truly believed in PTI manifesto.

Because what IK promised before elections, his permanent lotay are doing just opposite. He has to intervene.

Well, again, PTI is not made of angels. Everyone is human. People are not inducted into the party after passing a purity test. The difference is accountability. So far, from what I have seen, media has kept a tight focus on the party, and party followers keenly prod the party leadership after every lapse, which is a lot more than what can be said of status quo parties, who continue to enjoy perks despite claims to the contrary.
In any case, update on the issue. Pervez Khattak stated in the assembly today that the only reason for using the helicopter was that he was short on time, and wanted to make it back for the budget session. He paid the fuel bill for the chopper ride out of his pocket the next day. Case closed.
Re: Pervez Khattak and Protocol
Pk says he realized it was wrong and he paid the bill already…
so cut it out already… :hehe:

****PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Pervez Khattak informed the house on Wednesday that he has paid the bill for the helicopter he used to visit Haripur from his pocket.
Speaking on the assembly floor, Khattak said that some friends sitting in the assembly were circulating the news. He said he later realised that it was not proper to use it (the helicopter), and asked his secretary to pay the bill.
Dilating the details surrounding the use of helicopter, Khattak said that they had earlier planned to travel to Haripur by road. However, due to a meeting with World Food Programme executive director he had to use it.
The Chief Minister also regretted that no one had ever paid attention to use of this helicopter in the past, however, now cartoons are being made and it was news on TV.
Khattak maintained that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government in K-P will bring a change and people will be able to see it.
On Tuesday, the PTI chief Imran Khan took notice of Khattak’s helicopter use and restricted him from using the service again.
