What would you do if you find out that you’re close friend (who respect you, treat you nice, is there when you need him/her, gives you the izzat you deserve…waighara waighara)…occasionaly drinks/smokes and does stuff that Islam does not allow.
What are you going to do about it? Is his/her personal life going to have an affect on your friendship? Are you gona take him/her off from your friendship list or be fine with it, considering it’s his/her personal life and you don’t really have a right to tell him/her what to do?
as a good friend i’ll tell him how i feel about it because of our religion and then if he doesn’t correct himself, i wud just detach myself coz i can NOT jeopardize my aaKhira for a friend who has clearly crossed the line as u said
That depends on how strict your stance against htese things are and how strong your willpower is. some people are easily influenced by those in their company, while others aren't.
If what he's doing isn't directly affecting your life (getting you in trouble in school or work or with family) then no need to cut him off.. if the person is a good friend whose got caught up in bad habits, you should keep the lines of communication open...
And as a muslim i believe you do have a right to at least remind them that what they are doing is not Islamic. after that u have to decide if they are wroth keeping around or not and act on that decision.
KKF, it's between Allah and them, right? I mean your friend will obviously know whatever he/she is doing is wrong........ you are still going to cut him/her off just because he/she has "crossed the line"?
Who are we to judge other's? It's their personal life, no? As Sara said above, the best we can do is remind them........can't go any further than this can we?
