Re: personal grooming in public spaces
It's not like they're mooning at you that you can't zone out.
Why would I zone out then? I'll record and upload on youtube.
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
aren't there etiquette rules about this stuff?
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
Etiquettes for myself? Yes. I have no right to imply the same level of strictness on others. There are etiquettes and then there's personal freedom.
This thread somewhat reminds me of my snobby cousin in Pakistan who covers her nose each time a ghareeb muzdoor cross her way.
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
my question was not directed specifically to you hareem......
I was asking in general....just like we are expected to say "please" and "thank you"....I'm pretty sure that there are "expectations" around this sort of stuff.
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
I'd say grooming is a neutral act as opposed to spitting or picking your nose in public. Grooming in public cannot be labeled as bad manners unless it's effecting someone directly IMHO.
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
Do people really clip their nails in public? Aren't there little bits flying everywhere lol
I see a lot of girls doing their makeup in public and up in Liverpool it's no big deal to see girls walking around with their hair in rollers.. Don't really mind it but couldn't do it myself..

There always are the people who test the boundaries....

Re: personal grooming in public spaces
I have to hunt up the nbc news clip, but there was a clip about a woman who brought her kid’s potty to a restaurant and had her kid go right there out at the table, sitting on her potty on the chair in the open restaurant :hayaa:
Found it!
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
seen that a lot in pakistan, the ole squat and squirt against someone's house wall
It's sad cause there aren't too many public places for people to go to the loo at :-/

so are the boundaries wrong or the people who test them? :D

she has some respiratory tract disease which she does not want that gharib mazdoor to suffer from?
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
that’s just ew.
I would have been very offended if I was sitting there eating my food.
Re: personal grooming in public spaces

Boundaries should have some elasticity (flexibility) in it. Rigid ones can be broken easily.
Little experiment for your little doll. Ask her to break a bangle and then ask her to break a elastic band :)
Re: personal grooming in public spaces
I remember once going out to get a snack with my friend at night and I came across a little meander of something water-like on the pavement. My mind stupidly thought rain? But there is no rain, not from the sky anyway
I think I am ruining this thread ![]()

Re: personal grooming in public spaces
agreed…there should be some flexibility…which is why I think that applying some lipstick/chapstick or powdering your face might be okay…but clipping/filing your nails…:nono:
