toxic shock results from leaving in the tampon for a long time ...i dunno the exact number i think overnight ...more than 5-6 hrs i guess....
tampons are more convenient so alot of women forget about them so its potentially dangerous.

Average cycle is 27-28 days, but it can range from 24-31 or more.

Cycle includes the first day of your period....till it ends, the days inbtwn until the next period count as a cycle.

I have a theory as to why men (read "boys") run to these sorts of thread and immediately upon entering start posting corny jokes...(well since we're not focusing on one topic as it is anyway...).

The idea of a menstruating female = fertile female.

The image of a fertile woman crops up into the heads of these "boys".

They immediately begin to think dirty thoughts.

They figure by cracking a few jokes, they might "impress" some "bold" girl they can ask "do you want frandship" over a PM or a digi conversation and proceed to get her MSN or AOL addy and then have an "internet girlfriend" on the side like fries on the side of their KFC chicken. They can also use their internet prowess to attempt to enhance themselves into alpha male ranks.

PCG, sometimes I wonder what kind of world you live in......There are so many assumptions in your theory and when one of the guy will come in and question it...you will defend it to no end...then you wonder why these guys love to get you all riled up.
