It's true! The ad is not photoshopped or something. It actually appeared in a newspaper lol. The guy is actually DESPERATE.

I have had bad experiences too but nothing relating to money matters.

I have not opened this thread to make fun of either the guy or the girl/lady in there. I really want to know, have you seen these kinds of weddings happening? What could be the reason behind them? All I read or feel these days is that “body” and “sex appeal” and “attraction” is really really important. What could have made them “fall in love” and get married.

I am asking this because people most of the times people relate sex appeal and attraction with having a thin body.

People fall in love for all sorts of different reasons. Everyone has their own definition for attraction, or at least their own criteria for it. Sex appeal isn’t that big a part of it.
In that picture, I like the look on the face of the guy with glasses; it’s like, yeah I know this is going to end up online.
Um, my sister just walked by as I was looking at the photo, and her two pence is that if it is a genuine photo then they met on the internet.

I had a feeling about that too. The meeting on the internet thing. I can't make out where the girl is from though. The dude and the hottie on the left look like Pakistanis but the girl/lady look Indian.

I have seen a marriage like this in real life. The gal is almost same fat (may be a lil less) and the guy is exactly think like the guy in pic. both are Mid Easterns, n their affair started on internet. Guy was studying in Karachi in some college n this lady was here in our office working. bas mohabat ho gaiee... Allah jaanay genuine thi or there was any motive behind but they got married after some 2 yrs of online affair. Last i heard about them was they were still married but no kids so far.

just maybe they are both non-superficial, nice people. i know you can't tell much by just looking at their pic but she looks really nice and decent and so does he, they look to me like they are good-hearted people. in this oh so very superficial, looks, money obsessed world, they might actually be in the minority and be ones that look for qualities that have nothing to do with looks or money. they might actually genuinely care,respect each other.

plus yes they might not be conventional lookers, but they might find those certain things in each other attractive in terms of looks. as long as they have one of those marriages that lasts why is it any of our business why they got married.
