Re: PEOPLE take off ...

Well the door mat usually takes care of most of the rubbish on your shoes. Unless you are a labourer you shouldn't have dirty shoes anyway. Like I go from home to office on a car walk and office to home and don't walk more than 50 metres a day. When I go out for a jog I normally wear trainers anyway.

Laminate floors have been a rage here for the last few years. They are becoming very common. Tiling is also quite popular. Carpets are not the norm that they used to be. Then you have these new vaccuum cleaners that are good at removing pollens and dust particles.

Nothing wrong with taking shoes off...if thats what you want.

Re: PEOPLE take off …

i find flooring much easier to clean than carpets anyways. i don’t feel bad about spilling things, since i can just take out the really light and thin broom and clean, vs taking out a sponge, some washing liquid, the vaccuum cleaner (not to mention i can’t drag it on thick-loomed carpets).

carpet’s old school :dannyboy:

Re: PEOPLE take off ...

Yep carpets are definately old skool! Laminates and tiles are the way to go!

Re: PEOPLE take off ...

Some people take their own home slipper and the whoever house they go to and tell them "I've my home slipper and its clean, can I have them on if you don't mind?" I guess in this case nobody has anything to say rather than "It's O.K" and forgert about getting the guest to take of their shoes.
