great topic. Mirch. we can only be true friends when we feel happy for others' happinesses.
the give and take is normal as long as one conducts it in a reasonable manner.

dont be over bearing in giving gifts to x number of people.

but, it is necessary to make sure that whoever you giv a gift to on a wedding, a graduation, a new house, a baby, and just because for being a friend, that you try not to count it. otherwise, stop giving gifts. & just make sure that you indicate true happiness simply by wishing them well.

No Dush I am just kidding, I give the gifts and forget. But on a serious note. Gift giving is a sciece in itself . You have to evaluate what to give to whom at a particular occasion.
Yesterday my kids went to a gradation of a kid from elementary school who will be starting middle school. They asked me what to give to this kid. I said nothing, graduating from elementary school is not a big achievement .
I do not know what the parents of this kid are thinking. You just go have good time , if any and come back that is it. No gift.

Changing keyboard of a laptop is very expensive. My company will not allow that, they gave me this new computer only 3 months ago.:smiley:
