I have attended so many , shadies, graduations, baby showers, birthday etc etc. and obviously given out lots of gifts.
This graduation season we have been invited to more than half a dozen graduation parties already and I am sure more are on the way.
We do not celebrate birthdays in a big way , just family which is me , my wife , my kids and my BIL and his wife.
My kids are too young to graduate and getting married.
So my question is how do I replace my broken dinning set, blender, iron , Sofa cushions, old microwave etc etc ?
What kind of party we can have that people will bring those kind of gifts ?
I graduated in last century in Pakistan , can I have a belated graduation party for myself ?
P. S: I am not joking/kidding , people owe me big time. Only serious replies otherwise you will end up in my iPod hit list.
Now that’s an idea. But people do not give lavish gifts for anniversaries , only boring gifts , may be if we do a renewal of wows and go whole nine yard , like , mehndi ,mayon , nikha, rukhsatee , chotee etc etc we might get those lavish kind of gifts.

You are lucky that my wife is not into chat or forum kind of activities otherwise you would be in deep trouble for putting those kind of thoughts in my mind.
That is good food for thought but where I live people will give 20 , 25 dollar in an envelope for anniversary party, I will be serving food which will be much more than that for each family.
That will result in a deficit on income vs expenses on the party.
I live in USA , dollar is very weak now a days.
