You seem to have miss the point. I meant to say, opening your mouth wide open is not very attractive for anyone, girl or guy. Its not very sophisticated; doesn't come under proper mannerisms. But because guys are usually more rough, careless, carefree etc, etc it doesn't seem surprising if they don't follow the proper code; its almost expected. Ladies are usually more mature and aware of proper manners and hence when open their mouth wide open or chew with food making an imprint on their cheeks, it looks bad. So in a way, Im saying I expect girls/ladies to be more sophisticated.
And yes, unfortunately I've seen saliva on ice cream. Some lady came sat next to me while she was licking her cone ice cream. I only saw it once and was afraid to look in the direction again for fear of being grossed out. The choclate smell of the ice cream was reaching my nose.
As long as someone is not gorging down food and making a mess or noise I am ok. Actually people who are toooooo prim and put too muich effort in 'sajaa-ofying' their food annoy me too ugh, just eat the darn thing.

Brother, im not quite sure what to make of your post. Are you being sarcastic or seeing my point of view?
I can understand asking for greater delicacy and elegance in public, and expecting it from females because of cultural expectations. However, you can't ignore that the specific examples of your "objections" are phalic in nature.
But at the same time if i am hungry i dont care and if its my favorite icecream i really dont care who is watching me while i am licking my icecream cone :D

Another pet peeve of mine in regards to food: Tamil people and the Big Red gum.
My goodness, it is so irritating in general when people chew that flavour of gum but when I smell cinnamon (sp?) on tamil people it gets really irritating.
And it seems like thats the only kind of gum they like. All you Torontonians know what im talking about.
