Indication of downfall?

Thats how i see it.

Did President Barack Obama get so caught up in his 2012 re-election campaign that he forgot for a moment he had to go home to his sinking vessel, or was he nobly taking his second term because the captain must go down with his ship?
Time will reveal the answer, but President Obama has a dirty job on his hands and as each hour ticks by, his party settles down, state after state is stirring up a revolt on the White House website. What’s their request? They want out!
SouthJeeper71 on Twitter confirms many American’s feelings: The rats are hemorrhaging from the sinking ship of Obama’s administration.
Petitions are filling up by the hour as state after state joins in. According to an Examiner article, just yesterday there were 15 states wanting to separate themselves, now there are 19.
How it works:
Whoever initiates the petition must get 150 signatures just to “go live” on the site. Then, each state must get 25,000 signatures by Dec. 10, 2012 to be considered by President Obama.
Since writing this article, I have had to change my numbers for the states twice because they are changing so quickly.
As of Sunday, Nov. 11 at 3:30 p.m.: Alabama, 2451; Colorado, 1768; Florida, 2362; Georgia, 2086; Indiana, 1919; Kentucky, 1901; Louisiana, 10,281; Michigan, 1255; Mississippi, 1903; Missouri, 1270 (2 petitions); New Jersey, 1448; New York, 1674; North Carolina, 2386; North Dakota, 1497; Oregon, 1567; South Carolina, 1338; Tennessee, 1026; Texas, 9,108.
Each state’s plea reads similarly:
“Peacefully grant the State of Missouri to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.”
When clicking into the petition, many of them read like this:
As the founding fathers of the United States of America made clear in the Declaration of Independence in 1776:
“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”
“Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive.”
What is happening, America?
Why, since Obama won his second term in Washington D.C., are states requesting their divorce?
Will these petitions amount to anything or are they the beginning of a succession of rejected, ignored requests by “We the people”?
Are these liberty campaigners or Romney’s people or both initiating this revolt?
Author’s thoughts:
If these requests of succession are from the liberty campaign, Romney and third partiers, this may be the first time they’ve all united. Pretty ironic since most in all three started out as either democrats or republicans.

Some sore losers amongst the Republicans notably Donald Trump are trying to overplay the game

Obama won both his election campaigns in 2008 (was a rout of John McCain if anything) and 2012 by comfortable margins

Its something that will probably happen but will probably a lot more than 10 years.

The reason will be economic decline.

Every once in a while we hear these kind of stories that showcase the imminent breakdown of US. I do not believe that this would happen in our lifetime though.

I beieve it is not that far. America is one big bubble that may fall any time soon (in aroud 10 years) , reaosn is as arshad rightly said,economic collapse. America keeps on poking nose at other countries will suffer soon.

USA's sudden downfall (Edited) will also bring several other countries down and suffering would increase globally, not decrease.

OP have no idea about the US history and how the United States works, period.

The states are interlinked to such extent with over 70% of population in east & west coast, less racial divide and more immigrants into central US changing the internal dynamics of white America. In next 50 years the current minority groups will takeover white majority white in terms of numbers all this is fueling the debate for the breakup.

Well if Jihadies had the idea of how the US political sysmtem works they can easily predict the US is not going anywhere as in its current form for at least 100 years if not less.

Bringing USA down which is impossible today until Allah wants, the bipolar world come into existence with China, Australia, Brazil, India filling up the gap prematurely in turn create more chaos in the world.

China needs another 50 years to take care of its responsibilities as major global power.

well enough of talk about super powers and great nations, can someone shed light where will be Afghanisntan and other jihadi caves after 50 years?

Petition requesting “…published results of taxpayer-funded research to be posted on the Internet in human and machine readable form…” has 10 times more signatures than these so-called petitions and indicates one of the reasons why USA remains a superpower.

i think a lot of countries cough are a lot more unstable at the moment. these “separationists” are using petitions and signatures. but it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the US to purge itself of some of these idiot states from the bible belt that have been dragging it down everywhere.
