My friend just got married yesterday and hers was no lavish affair but I couldnt believe it when she told me she had planned everything and carefully thought about every last detail for the wedding including the pen which she signed the nikkahnama.. she said it was the most important thing for her besides the ring that she got.. she even got a gold case to save it in!

Well, I do think it's a detail that often gets ignored. Otherwise the photos of the most important moment all feature some hotel pen that someone found at the last minute, or a free gift from a pharmaceutical company, or one of the cheap BIC ballpoints.

Yeah I agree that its sweet, but she went overboard and bought like a $200 fancy shmancy fountainpen with a gold case... to be honest I would've never remembered to include that tiny detail in my preps... or to even keep the pen...
Did the girls here actually remember to keep the pen in all the craziness of the event?

i would never even think of saving the pen or getting a special one ...thats just too much detail tehres already enough to worry about forget worrying about the pen too
I wud! Get the box engraved perhaps with the day etc... and save it!
