Its about time all the stake holders of the city think about the best for their city. Being a non Karachiite it pains me to see the city in the condition it is in, I am sure it’d hurt the people living there even more. Target Killing and extortion rackets are killing the city. The Businessmen are relocating from the city to Faisalabad and Lahore (within the country) and to international destinations, which is not a good news for the city.
Act before its too late. Learn to live and let live.

Karachi is a dying city. It is a city being raped by everyone, while claiming rights of the city.
May be if Altaf goes away then a saner MQM might help it. But unfortunately, no matter who the elected representatives are from the city, it will always be under total control of some wadera-shahi from interior Sindh.
Sadly, I see no future for the city.
why put the blame on waderas from interior sindh khoji sahab? apni mehmooba mqm ki tareef b karlia karo kabhi, akhir usi ne pury shehr ko apne pyar k jaal may phasa rakha hai...

As far as those waderas are concerned, they are doing to Karachi what they do to people under their own control. Even after governing for a long time, PPP has hardly done anything good for even a city like Larkana.
This situation in Karachi is actually loved by some evil cult members who use the chaos to kill innocent folks in the name of religion. Tragic.

Karachi will never see peace not in our life time. The situation has gone from good to worst since creation of mqm by mardood Zia-ul-Haq.

Sindh government can earn a good amount of revenue if bhatta is legalized and tax is collected on it. They can root out at least this crime from the city as it would then be a legal business instead of being a crime.

Karachi's problems are manifold and all stakeholders are to blame for it. But one thing is for sure. Start from a deweaponization campaign throughout the city irrespective of political affiliations.
Maybe the fall of UK don will be the stepping stone in cleansing of the city.

How some of us remember the good wonderful days of Karachi when I was a child in the 70s. And our previous generation remembers even more fondly. They could be out late late due to whatever but not fear anything except the normal. The City of Lights wants its lights back please!
