Karachi will never see peace not in our life time. The situation has gone from good to worst since creation of mqm by mardood Zia-ul-Haq.
We can only hope for the best, but the governments and military have proved themselves incompetent to solve this issue.

How some of us remember the good wonderful days of Karachi when I was a child in the 70s. And our previous generation remembers even more fondly. They could be out late late due to whatever but not fear anything except the normal. The City of Lights wants its lights back please!
Karachi was city of lights even in the 80's, situation deteriorated in 90's.

One thing for you, MQM is not karachi. If they don't change themselves they will become irrelevant in the city. They don't have that much time at their hands, terror can scare people for so long.

Bhai ke andar honay ke baad shayad Karachi ki roshnian lot aaian. I want my Karachi of 40’s, 50’s, 60’s even 70’s. If I had time machine I would have reversed the time to these golden decades of Karachi. Karachi was like heaven to live in then and now it is worst than hell.
In bottom photo Daud Engineering College is on left side and Islamia College is on right side. I lived very near to this place, and daily used to walk to my school and later Islamia Science College for many years.
