People of KPK in 2008, voted for ANP when they promised for peace for KPK. This did not happen and they, alongwith ANP suffered the most from terrorism.
This time they voted for IK for change, will he be able to bring much desired peace for KPK.

^ Depends a lot on NS's relations with military establishment and whether PML(N) and PTI are willing to work together on the issue.

I'm disappointed that PMLN has won but in PTI as an opposition can have a serious impact on how this government runs. As much as we need a good government, a strong opposition is vital to keep the balance in check. There won't be muk muka dealings between PMLN and PTI which we saw between PPP and the former. So coming back to the original question, with NATO countries already working on their exist policy, Pak army not having any serious intention of launch military attacks. I think Imran has very strong chances of seeking non-violent methods to bring a lasting peace in K.

Hopefully, "peace" doesn't mean full reign to TTP to do the hell they want (plot attacks at home, rest of pakistan or the world) like the "peace" in last punjab's govt or in MMA's time.

I don't think that he can do anything about the drones, I was listening to Asad Umer today, he said that the drones issue is a federal thing and not a provincial thing...so I don't know how much he can do :(
As for PTI in opposition...are they REALLY going to be in opposition...I think PPP & PML-N will do their best not to have IK in opposition...coz it will not be easy for them to loot Pakistan some more.

Anyone who thinks the Taliban are just going to lay down their weapons, give up all their power and just go home should have their head examined, drones or no drones.
And to even contemplate peace with those murderers is cowardice of the highest order. Regardless of their excuse, their crimes cannot and should not go unpunished.
Anyone advocating appeasement should be ashamed.

Wonder why ANP was thrown out by KP voters. KP has suffered a lot at that hands of Taliban, and ANP was working against Taliban. ANP even suffered the most at their hands.

Drones are happening in fata, which belongs to the federation at the moment. PTI can so nothing in that space.

They dont have any support... And even if they do lose what support they do have, they shouldnt be punished for their crimes? These murderers should be hunted down like the dogs they are...
Why are you all so content to just allow these criminals to go free? What ever happned to justice. Elections over, lets appease these criminals and not antagonize them, even though they have the blood of thousands on their hands.
I cant wait till the day Imran saab realizes that he cant ignore these terrorists, inaction will no longer be an option, and he wont have the drones as a scape goat.

I think it's a mixed plate, lets see. The issue is that fata is directly handled by the federal government. I support a creation of fata province or merging it into KPK.

drones policy is under federal not provincial government
Without an end to violence, it would be a tall order for PTI to provide good governance imo. can't equate the situation in KP with Punjab where there is relative peace
