Ijaz Butt is on his way out. There is soon to be a new management. He is angry that is why taking these desperate measures to show some credibility.

Hurting Pakistan Cricket in a big way. These types of decisions will have lasting effect on the team and upcoming tournament and series.

Yousuf's stupid antics of blaming players for being 'selfish', 'bad technique' then verbal diarrhea against team, claiming to be best performer on the tour all had VERY BAD influence on the team. I don't think any player would have felt 'safe' under such a 'leader', hence Yousuf was responsible for bringing the team down. I don't know what Younis did, may be he was involved... he might have urged Yousuf to speak up against these players to finish them off.

Match fixer? What report points out that Malik was involved in such? Rana and Kamran Akmal were suspects not Malik.

From my first reading it said "indefinite", which does mean that it is not 'life-time' and that it could be lifted when PCB thinks is the right time.

I am very pleased with the cleaning up, though it is not full cleanup I had hoped. As others have already pointed out, such 'cleanup' becomes only necessary when things are not run on principles, rules in first place. PCB needs to be 'professional' first.

PCB had earlier said that there were two players involved in match fixing. Is it possible that the two players were Yousaf and Younis, hence the "life" bans. But then again, Younis wasn't even a part of the test squad. By the same reason, if he wasn't in the team, then how could he "demoralise" the team?

Media Release - 10 March 2010

PCB today issued a media release on the report of inquiry committee on Pakistan team’s performance. **Some media channels have interpreted the first recommendation of the inquiry committee regarding Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan as being a life ban on these two players from playing for Pakistan. **

**PCB wishes to clarify that the recommendation of the Committee is not a life ban on these cricketers. There is no specified term in the recommendation for these two players. As and when the PCB deems appropriate, these players will be considered for selection for the national team. **

Didnt I predict last year?

Does anyone have a doubt that the indian mafia (bal chakka & partners) are involved in this complete seizure of Pakistani international cricket through corrupting our own people (PCB management, committees & what not & the players) right before the world cup 2011 which was supposed to happen in Pakistan. But because the usual 'hassad' & 'bughz' for Pakistan made them do this through using our own people.

What do you think this is? Just a drama on world's stage. To avoid being exposed for corruption (match fixing for intentionally losing so many international tournaments) charges, the pakistani cricket management & people operating behind the scenes are staging this drama for the ignorant pakistanis to present this as 'proofs' of poor performances. Most probably these players are promised more money for participating in this show. After a short (or longer) period when the hype is over & people have accepted it, the corrupt management will bring them corrupt players back in...... or maybe they wont depending on what suits the indian mafia's interest.

I would definitely not be surprised if it turns out that even the president of Pakistan & the key Pakistani politicians / leaders are playing along behind the scene. All the ignorant pakistanis would argue, 'Oh why would india be so much bothered to do so much to seize pakistani cricket completely from international level?' It is because this is the extent of pain bal chakka & partners mafia has in their stomach with anything which brings Pakistan & Pakistanis ANY kind of honor & cricket was one.

These 'ayyars' would do anything to feed the hassad & bughz they have in their hearts for Pakistan & Pakistanis. This is the seriousness of the threat Pakistan & Pakistanis face from these people but still they prefer to close their eyes or laugh it off.

I have absolutely no doubts that some strong & key cricket / non cricket, political / non-political figures of pakistan have been exploited by this indian mafia to participate in digging the grave yard for pakistani international cricket in lieu of chunks of a little cash. for indians, ofcourse, it is just another step as a part of a major process to wipe pakistan's & pakistani's name off the world's map that they are hideously working towards but for our people whom they have exploited to take part in it, it is just more 'money' that they are starved of................ especially since after 1991....... the break down of the soviet.

Will our leaders or those responsible ever understand this or even care? Why should they? After all, life is nothing but to make money, status, power & have fun & pleasure in the process even if by way of sacrificing Pakistan's honor & dignity. cricket is 'just a game'............ why take it so seriously? Just take some money from the vultures & enjoy life by becoming like them.

mistargetted and disproportionate purge operation - esp. with Younis and Yousaf. I agree that they should be reprimanded for their indiscipline and spur of the moment verbal diarrhoea in the media... but an "unlimited" ban is absurd.

Can someone also please purge Ijaz Butt from his role where we're cleaning up!

"As and when indian mafia deems appropriate, these players could be considered for playing for Pakistani national team if they do not ever refuse to losing important international tournaments on purpose or leak out any information related to match fixing in which case, they can prepare to say goodbye to the international cricket forever for going against the mafia's intructions by having their cricket careers wrecked. Prime examples being shoaib akhtar, asif, shoaib malik & many more."

I don't think this will affect our Twenty 20 team. All the inform Twenty20 players like Afridi, Akmal bros are still with the team and the rest who are useless or likely not to be selected (Shoaib,Rana,Yousuf & Younis) in twenty20 format are banned. This is a tactical move by PCB.

We all know about Yousuf but we can't ingore how Younis khan has been so detrimental to this team lately. Accepting and resigning the captaincy post like it meant nothing, not reporting to PCB on his whereabouts, pulling out of domestic matches without informing anyone and last but not least acting like a bully by "allegedly" beating up an innocent fan. I guess it is a good move by PCB by punishing them.

In my opinion, this is not a clean house, just watch, Younis and Yousuf will be recalled right away for Indo Pak test series or any other high profile test matches. This is like slapping them in the wrist without telling them.Basically it is a scare tactic. However we may not be able to see Malik and Naved ever again. These two players weren't match winners in any format, and we have better talent out there to replace them.

There are alot more things that Pakistanis need to ponder over but you see they hardly have any time to spare after bollysh!t passtimes or brain to understand anything after slaughtering it to bollysh!t scripts intellects.

lol…guys…this is hilarious…a corrupt board handing out such ridiculously severe punishments to those players who have done somethings to win matches and even tournaments at times…they made some records too…while living and playing under a corrupt board (PCB) and an extremely corrupt governments and corrupt culture…Bingo! :jhanda: :slight_smile:

PS: PCB must be switched from public to private…

PS1: There should be some independent commissions with sufficient knowhow to declare those kind verdicts…hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Why are we even paying attention to what pcb has announced…read my lips…both younis khan and yousaf will play the last test match in England in the upcoming series…just let Pakistani team play miserably in few test matches and then our whole emotional nation will start yelling and screaming for younis and yousaf….so don’t worry about what board says…here is what will happen…both Younis and Yousif will go to the court and will get the ban removed……board will still not select them (they do not have to) and the public will become more sympathetic to them by then….and by the last test match, both will make a heroic entry….

what else board has done…afrdi, and akmal brothers will still be playing….so no worries…rana is a spent force, so ban or no-ban for him does not make any difference…..malik is the only player who has potential worth (especially in 50-over matches)….rahay naam allah ka…

I thought...according to the ICC rules...you cannot try and punish a player (Shahid Afridi) twice for the same misdeed[Ejaz Butt] :D

PS: lol...the other countries/clubs/leagues will be whole heartedly happy to welcome our fined...banned or outcasted players...just my guess though...cricket drain... :D

true, if there are some players creating problems or teaming up against the captain, they should be disciplined and not the captains. Board should have supported their captains.
