Patience leads to optimism?? It should be the other way round. Your optimism can bring patience to you.
Hurt leading to optimism?? Extremely unlikely, in my opinion.

sometimes, things get so messed up, that it becomes this way - up side down and the other way around, too.
patience drives hope other wise there will not be any patience in a hopeful heart.

My opinion is definitely based on my experiences and observations, but they were not all good. In fact, I have had some terrible experiences in life (like most of us).
I again beg to differ from you. You said, "patience drives hope". I see it completely opposite. I think it is hope that gives me patience, when I am down.
When we are down, most of the time we close our minds and we fail to realize the options available to us. We try to look at the apparent causes of our failure and fail to understand the root cause.
