I heard pathan are ruthless....and "besatee" means everything to them. but then again its likely to be a stereotype. however I know some pathan women who dont like their own culture....the only word they have to describe it is "jahil"

I know some 40+ million folks that will disagree with you, not including the 16 million Tajiks who would also disagree with you. Unfortunately the confusion starts when you cross the border into Pakistan where the Pakistanis don't know the difference between an Afghan, Pathan, Tajik, Pakhtun and an Uzbek.

Chupkese........... I think practically all pathans from Afghanistan, Pakistan or those who live in other parts of the world will NEVER kill you if you go back on your word.
Traditionally Pathans have live strict code of instuctions, some of these are good, some not so compatible with today's way of thinking.
Now this code helped the people to live their lives according to the ways and customs and culture of that particular community. All communities/sets of peoples around the world have there own set of rules governing their way of life.
Pathans have (in my opinion) have some of the amazing.... melmastia for example
Which is means the tradition of offering food, shelter and safety to a traveller or anybody who comes to your home..... some would even offer them your life (I wouldnt go that far...my life is far too precious!) as shown recently in Wana
This would also apply to an enemy.... traditionally if your enemy came to your home... you'd supply all the love and care and attention
