I want them to do what they think is right for them and if they are Muslims then their laws should be based on Quran.

That begs 2 questions:

1. Do you really belive the laws under the taliban were based on the quran?
2. If you believe Muslims should live under laws based on the Quran, why do you live in Dallas? I personally would not ever want to live in a society with laws based on the quran (or any other religious text) and so I will never do it. Just wondering how someone could reconcile that with themselves.

It's not a personal question , pe se. I just don't understand how westernized Muslims living under the freedoms the west have to offer get off saying Muslims should live under laws based on Quran. Especially if you believe the Taliban were ruling from the Quran. What kind of Muslim would advocate that for "Muslims" but live in, and profit from, a society that is completely opposite?

^ Feel free to open a thread in Religion where we can discuss Taliban laws.

For 2nd part, currently there is no land where Muslims live under laws ordained by Quran, either they are personalized for the kingdom or to politicised and the rule is not by law etc. Besides, everyone has his/her intention of living outside "Islamic land".

You cannot deny what they r trying to achieve by knowingly showing a program supposedly based on facts that is far from the actual truth.

This not from the alternative media, this was covered on many news programs don't know about ABC or FOX tho.

Foreigners came to the scene later, the first fighters were Iraqis themselves. US govt makes this claim that first fighters were foreigners because US govt believed they will get flower garlands after 'liberating' Iraq.

Nope. Thousands of foreign fighters were lining up in Syria and Jordan to go and fight the Americans when they invaded Iraq.

Taliban were helped by Pakistani, Arabs etc. but comprises of Afghans as majority.

Taliban are still seen as outsiders in Afghanistan thats why they were over thrown so easily and Afghanistan did not experience any form of insurgency until a few months ago when the Taliban re-grouped. This shows that the Taliban had no base of support but were occupiers.

Why do you have to ask such question? I know you want every country in the world running by US line of dictation, I don't, I want them to do what they think is right for them and if they are Muslims then their laws should be based on Quran.

But when you insist that the Taliban in Afghanistan represent the best for the Afghan people, you are just plain wrong.

If people democratically want Islamic Laws then its fine. But when they force them upon people who don't want them and enforce them in a savage and barbaric way and for you to justify those actions. Then you are being a hypocrite.

The majority of the people of Afghanistan support the Karzai government than tha Taliban Nazis.

Well Fox and CNN never went indepth to what the Taliban really were…

They are foreigners who came in the 1980’s and fought the soviets, took Afghan brides and settled in Afghanistan when their countries refused to take them back and then they started an extremist islamic state

I thought we were talking about Path to 9/11? What do you think about most media outlets that are saying that it contains blatant lies and innaccuracies? I mean is it just me or is it that whoever made this series obviously did it to divert attention away from Bush administration and blame it all on Clinton, and basically fill the minds of their viewers with wrong information. I mean several people told them the film was inaccurate yet they still aired it.
