Anyone saw this ABC mini-series about the events which lead up to the Terrorist attacks on New York and Washington on September 11, 2001.
I thought it was well done and well acted.
Although they made Islamabad look like an Calcutta Slum and Manila into a Bangkok Red Light District.
Other than that, it was pretty good.

I think that the one thing that was made clear is that for a long time Americans simply did not want to believe that there was a legitimate threat from terrorists. We were slow to recognize the threat.
I was with a bunch of constuction workers on 9/11. As they were leaving the site for the day, they said, "Someone has awakened the Sleeping Giant". And they did.

No, the TalibPAKISTan government was the initial military target. They had to overthrow the ruling party to ever get to the terrorists they were harboring.

You still haven't answered my questions, why have the sleeping giant failed so mierably to trace these people, unless of course it is a deliberate move to keep the war OF terror ongoing.
One lesson learn from 9/11 is if someone kills innocent people in your country, feel so outraged that you go and kill 10 times more innocent people in their and other countries and claim that you are bringing democracy to the people. Secondly state sponsored terrorism is perfectly acceptable.

Don’t need to do anything, the people of Iraq, Afghanistan and hezbollah are teaching them a lesson they will not forget easily. Gone are the days when the arrogant state sponsored terrorists went in to a country and declared that we will not rest till their demands were met only too run away without their demands being met and with heavy losses.
Remember “MissionAcomplished and bring them on”. 
That is what is happening to them.

And the people of Afghanistan? You mean the Taliban who are not Afghanis but are foreigners trying to establish their terrorist governement back in power…

I think you have lost track of words of your leaders. They used to blame only foreign elements at one point, later on the observations came from field that there are several type of fighters, foreigners are only a small part of it.

Taliban are not foreigners, but very Afghan, actually more Afghan than Karzai but unfortunately that has not been said by Donald Rumsfled yet therefore not everyone is going to believe that.

The primary instigators of the Shia-Sunni fighting were Foreigners. The Shias retaliated and Sunnis fought back and now you have a low level civil war in Iraq.
Taliban are indeed foreigners. They have some Afghans in their midst but are made up of mostly Arabs, Pakistanis, Afghans and some Arab-Afghans.........
These people don't represnet the people of Afghanistan and never will....

Foreigners came to the scene later, the first fighters were Iraqis themselves. US govt makes this claim that first fighters were foreigners because US govt believed they will get flower garlands after 'liberating' Iraq.

Taliban were helped by Pakistani, Arabs etc. but comprises of Afghans as majority.
