Passwords is there for a reason. For your accounts, and for privacy...why would you want to share it with someone? Especially a friend? And I don't blame them, everyone falls for temptation...there you are with your buddies password to her emails and msn, wouldn't you just want a peak inside it? Exactly, that's why I don't ask my family or friends for their password and neither would I give mine to anyone because I wouldn't blame them if they got tempted to open it.
