I always wonder that how many posters here , who are badmouthing about karachi and its leadership , have a bloody clue about the real situation …..
After that Benazir incident , 100 girls from a chemical factory near shorab Goth area were abducted .. and so far only 66 are reported to be handed back to their families … but in what condition? … I don’t have to tell how they were molested and tortured … by the gangs and people who rule and control the area around shorab Goth , mubina town and other small Goths on the back of abbas town ….
I don’t have to name those races here … as it will become a racist post then … but a Karachi resident knows for sure that who were surely involved in that heinous crime ….
For those calling Mustufa kamal , a commando or sub Don …. He was never involved in any reported terrorist activity …. If yes then prove it ………

it doesnt have to be this way or that, you are probably correct about land mafia and MQM not being the only guilty party. that doesnt negate the fact that it is A guilty party. so while you may be correct to object when people lay crimes at their door that are not theirs alone, kamal sahab ranting on air about all pushtuns being the same and all being islamic fundamentalists (based on seeing a guy with a beard) is not justifiable in any way.

I am not surprised to see those comments from Kamal. Sure he is being racist, but its not too much different from what some of the members on this thread have said repeatedly in reference to Pakhtuns.
Sometimes people forget that Karachi is a multi-ethnic city, that has been dominated politically by the MQM. For a largely ethnicity based political party to feel threatened by Pakhtuns who occupy the lowest rung of the socioeconomic order, is beyond absurd.
Playing the Pakhtun = Terrorist card is no different than the goras thinking that all brown people (Pakistanis included) are terrorists. I am not surprised to see this coming from a non-Pakistani, however its a damn shame to see a nazim of a Pakistani city to play the same card.
As for the patriotism of Pakistani Pakhtuns, history is a witness to our commitment to Pakistan - even when that commitment has been met with insults.
You know, this clip has been explained over and over again by MQM officials but some people just can’t comprehend it…perhaps the explanation is too complicated for them.
Altaf Hussain in that clip did indeed point out that the partition was a massive blunder. Can anyone prove him wrong? Perhaps Spock can, considering he chews more than he can handle. It’ll be hard for you to prove that it was not a blunder, considering the following facts;
Millions of civilians were butchered on both sides.
The fate of Kashmir was not decided, and that has led to 3 wars, and possibly even more.
East Pakistan eventually separated from Pakistan.
I would challenge anyone to prove to me that the 1947 partition was conducted in the best possible manner.
With that said, Altaf Hussein, never said that Pakistan should not have been created. He simply stated that the partition should have been conducted with more care so that the conflicts that exist today would have been avoided. Perhaps the Kashmir issue could have been resolved more amicably, and subsequently there would not have been a reason to fight 3 wars or to spend billions upon billions in the defense budget.
Despite Altaf Hussein making a valid point which every Pakistani should agree with he gets criticized for it. The comment was twisted and turned into an evil thought. Perhaps if Imran Khan would have made identical comments, individuals may have used their god given brain to understand the deeper meaning behind the comment…but because it was a muhajir and because it was Altaf Hussein who made the statement…individuals did not see it feasible to use their mental capacity but rather an alarm in the racist portion of their brain began to sound off. Or perhaps the were not racist…they just lacked the mental capacity to understand the deeper meaning of the comment.
However with that said, Altaf Hussein should have understood the sensitivities and been much more clearer and precise about what he meant. I personally believe that Altaf Hussein should not be allowed to speak in front of public forums, simply because he does not know how to control or express himself. Perhaps a more eloquent leader like Farooq Sattar should do most the public appearances.
It is the establishment that has created propaganda against MQM, and various other groups. Who ever confronts the establishment is declared a traitor of Pakistan. The real traitors are the one’s who plunged us into billion dollar debts and not Altaf Hussain. MQM has transformed Karachi into the economic capital of Pakistan. Karachi a city of 12 million people, a city with limited resources, accounts for 25% - 30% of the GDP, and also accounts for 60% of the national revenue. MQM should be applauded and should be put as head of the federal body. Every other political party talks a great game, very few provide results. To sway the attention from their blatant failures, the establishment makes MQM the scapegoat for every problem. Is it MQM’s fault that there is a shortage of electricity in Pakistan, despite Pakistan having the capacity to generate electricity 30 times the amount it currently needs? Whose fault is this?..The establishments…current establishments and previous establishments.
Furthermore Spock, regarding whether Jinnah wanted an immigration or not is now irrelevant. The fact is an immigration happened and nobody can do a damn thing about it. Pakistanis live in Karachi, and thats all that matters. You can lobby against MQM all you want. The fact is that MQM is stronger than ever before, and in fact getting stronger. MQM is now recognized as a major political force, a force which is generating alliances with ANP, and the PPP. I’ll bet my bottom dollar that critics of MQM will slowly be phased out, as more and more Pakistanis begin to understand that it is not MQM who causes them to starve, but instead it is the obese establishment. MQM is marching against the establishment, and slowly others will join.

Qaid specifically called Habib Ali Muhammad from Bombay to come to Pakistan and set up business in this new country to support economically weak Pakistan. He came here and established Habib Bank and other industries. Nizam of Hyderabad donated for Pakistan in its early years.
