Re: Pashto/pakhtu for beginners…

I met a Sikh family from pharra chinar in the middle of no where in Africa, they left pak in 47 … Even his children and grand children born in Africa were speaking pure Pashto. We had a good time, I with my golabi Urdu Punjabi English Farsi Pashto mix against the pure thick Bangash accent Pashto.

Re: Pashto/pakhtu for beginners...

^ Serious? Oh tobah, those Sikh must be some real hardcore Pashto speakers.
Man here in Aussie, we got a few Sikhs from Kabul, they speak purer Pashto than i do! That is shocking!

Re: Pashto/pakhtu for beginners...

Guys this is an awesome thread. I was always so curious about Pashto; they should have some language learnin places in Pak where you can learn the languages like Pashto, Baluchi etc.

Re: Pashto/pakhtu for beginners...

^ Our bad....although being one of the oldest language in the world on record, it does not hold a place it should be at.....

Pashto has a recorded history of 5000 - five thousand years in Afghanistan mainly, some tablets of ancient Pashto language were found in countris like Greece & Egypt as well. Such was the dominance of Pashto over the rest of the people. We've had our 'Golden Age' in ancient times, now it is the turn for the other minor languages. :P
