I dnt think there are any disadvantages in call center job, infact i m looking for a part time job these days and i wud definately go for call center if find any vacancy

Job in a call center is a professional death, why ?
because you learn about communication for sometime and then the learning curve becomes flat, no charm no real challenges, just talk talk talk. Mind becomes very narrow and cannot do creative thinking etc. Also there is no real application of the talk skill in other professions except telemarketing. Thats my idea btw.
Maybe you should go for some other part time job anything but call center..
