I don’t quite agree with the notion. The parha likha guy or a grl who discourages someone, regardless of gender, from education or career is a parha likha jahil in my opinion. I for one thinks that everyone should get proper education and after that its their choice whether they want to be SAHM or they want to go and work because i think after that much education a person can make those decisions themselves.
I don’t think that parhe likhe men discourage girls from participating in sociopolitical process in anyway. Most of the time its men who are encouraging their wives to get more education or go out and work or atleast that is what i have seen in my circle of friends/family.
