new york city environs - my fave things:
wading river or one of those secluded beaches far out in long island.
harriman state park - it's beaut in the summer
palisades interstate pkwy - very scenic, good for hiking fun and top of the world views
bronx zoo
the walk across the brooklyn bridge
SoHo
ethnic neighbourhoods in the city
sheepshead bay area in the summer
as for times square, lady liberty, etc etc.. ghar ki murgi daal baraabar...
