Paranormal activity, anyone?

Some creepy stories!

I have a few, all in my nanas and nanis old place, used to go there for holidays. Its sold now, the place was HUGE. You know the 'havelis' type. For quite a few years only my grandparents and mamoo mamani along with one choki-daar lived there. There was a little room, with no windows at all and just a locked door, there were times when my mamani used to go in kitchen and hear someone pounding the door; only to find noone there when opened! This other time everyone woke up in the morning to find all the glass in the pictures smashed to bits, my mum grew up in that house and she says that they used to hear someone walking about only to find noone.

Suffice it to say had that house not been sold I'd be VERY scared to go there lol

Summary:

Most men have said they're scared of scary movies
Most women have said they aren't and find them funny

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

No

yep THE OTHERS is a classifcal paranormal horror movie

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

I'm not yet sure if whatever I've experienced so far was actually a paranormal stuff or plain hallucination but a few years back when my parents had to leave me behind with my grandpa to attend my brother-in-law's funeral, I heard anklets ringing as if a woman was roaming around my house..Previously, it was said that my mom and phupo used to get slapped by invisible forces while they were asleep but it stopped when my grandfather did some kinda 'amaal' for three consecutive nights and gave them taweez to wear!

And my maternal grandpa was such a devout person that he actually used to converse with supernatural beings- be it fairy, jinns or demons-people from far and near used to come to him for help, or to keep baby names, spell on their ailing kins etc. and with the grace of Allah he had great powers of healing....He wasn't a baba but plain learned n scholarly guy! I feel ashamed of myself that despite being his own grandchild, I am a real phattoo (one who gets scared easily)!

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

And yeah, I kinda scared my momma although intentionally..

When I was a toddler, my mom left me sleeping in a room to fetch something when the lights suddenly went off..Scared she came back running to get me thinking I'll be frightened not to see her in pitch darkness with only the window being open..As she entered the room, she saw me sitting motionless on the bed, staring at a corner of the room and the lil bit of moonlight from the window made me look more than white ..I had big black eyes that were stuck on something...And God knows why, she got so scared of me that she refused to pick me up in her arms and came runnin to my aunt as if she's seen something really scary!!

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

reading these stories I keep having a strong urge to watch if “someone” is standing behind me.

:omg:

ok where to start, first of all, i do not watch horror movies and get freaked out easily...

the story that MONK told about the stones being thrown onto the roof happened to my khala when she was younger, the (j-people aka j---) would throw huge rocks into the sahaan and the good ones would catch them and place them gently on top of my khala. She would wake up in the morning with huge rocks on top of her...

a few years ago during a trip to visit family in pakistan... my cousin who was only days old was sleeping on the bed (laying flat), my mumani walks in and sees my cousin still sleeping but this time his whole body was propped up against the headboard, needless to say, we didnt find this out till we got back...

ok recent stories, my sister was living in an apartment off-campus. she and her two roommates had set up their three computers against the living room wall. one afternoon while taking a nap in the living room, with her back turned towards the computer, she hears random typing. she turns around quickly, but it stops. this happened several times and eventually it stopped after several minutes...

when i had first moved into an apartment off-campus, my friend and I stepped outside into the balcony and we see five black cats sitting in a semi-circle formation staring at us. after moving out of that apartment four years later, i moved into a different apartment in the same neighborhood... i would hear the water turn on in the middle of the night, i would get up and turn the tap off in the bathroom. this happened for at least two weeks. finally i mentioned it to my roommate (just in case she was the one leaving the water on)... at first she didnt say anything but eventually she told me that she lived in africa for several years when she was a child, and that she can see the (j-ppl), she said there is a boy that plays with the water in the bathroom at night and a girl that stand near the kitchen sink all the time. mind you she is a very honorable and religious person. needless to say i moved out soon afterwards.

so back to my sister's roommate.. she was going to see a guy friend (lets call him Ahmed) of her's who lived in the same apartment complex. she was on the phone with her cousin. While walking to Ahmed's apartment at night time, she see's Ahmed with an evil grin on his face, and he's gesturing for her to follow him behind the bushes. She calls out to him but he doesnt say anything and continues to look at her with this evil look. She tells her cousin that Ahmed is acting weirdly and her cousin exclaims thats not Ahmed, I am chatting with him online. She freaks out and runs back home and never went out again by herself at night...

All these apartment incidents happened in the same apartment complex...

I have plenty more personal experiences but i think thats enough for now! Otherwise I wont be able to sleep tonight...

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

i don't understand why all pakistanis are obsessed with horror movies

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

^ I don't get it either! every other thread on this website is about horror movies .... isn't it?

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

One evening in our old house, everyone was sitting in the living room when all of a sudden there were foot steps on the stairs and noone had been on the other floor. I am NOT supersticious at all but there didn't seem to be a logical explaination plus every one of us heard them. It's a mystery till this day.

Another night I heard a chan chan sorta sound ....like payals would make. It was gone within a couple seconds but left me thinking what could have caused it. I was in the kitchen washing dishes, I didn't run out of there or anything, finished what I was doing while telling myself it must have been my imagination.

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

dunno abt other threads but just look at this thread reaching 3 pages in just one day.

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

Re: Paranormal activity, anyone?

the paranormal activity movie was a sad sad movie ... it wasn't that scary although i managed to scare a couple of my frnds that went with me ... but honestly the stories that i heard from my grand ma were 10 times scarier than this stupid movie

since watching that film ive been freaked, and i never usually get scared watching scary movies, our house makes weird noises neway, now im adamant there is "something" other than water pipes at work, my man laughs
