I have found that Panadol, which is a paracetemol, works faster on me than Tylenol and other similar formulations. But it's hard to get Panadol here.
get someone to bring it from pak, if possible

tylenol is paracetemol. In US they call it acetaminophen.

turns out headache was the least of my worries 
got some other meds to take from now on, which is stupid so nope. asked doc about my knee and he thinks it might be arthritis and needs scans. what an idiot. a simple malish would suffice.
other than that it’s all good.

Really? I thought they were two different types of pain relievers. I know it's not in my head. Having grown up in the Middle East, I had always taken Panadol. And then when I moved to the US, I noticed a consistent difference between the two. Panadol works faster on me than tylenol regardless of how intense the headache. And I'm not imagining it. Once I took an extra strength Tylenol at school and a couple hours later, the headache was still there. The other strange thing is that Advil and Ibubrophen work faster on me than Tylenol. I wonder why. The latter is my least preferred option.

Panadol = Paracetamol = Tylenol = Acetaminophen
Advil = Mortin = Midol = **Ibuprofen
**I believe its just the matter of body’s reaction. Perhaps your body react quickly to Ibuprofen. Secondly, acetaminophnen is more of a fever reducer and not headache/pain reliever (even though it do take care of it to some extent)

Tylenol doesn't work for me either. I always go with ibuprofen ( motrin, specifically ). btw.. advil is ibuprofen.
