Do ppl. know what to do to overcome them?
Re: Panic attacks
Here are the things I did to control mine couple of years back... ... some of the advices were given by member Mahru.... I do not get them any :)
They were so severe that I used to keep awake for two consecutive nights finally getting few hours sleep for one night and then, coming back to square One.... I used to close my eyes, and used to feel as if I won't be able to open them up now...
- Drink a lot of water
- Go for a nice walk specially in the evening - long walk... if you have a park around, definitely go there
- Join the gym and start doing cardio exercises - running etc.
- Light Dinner - eat it atleast 4 hours before sleeping
- Get socialized. Start going to gatherings.
- Take a deep breath and when releasing put an extra effort at the end to release the whole breath.
- Try to offer Salaah (Namaaz) on time *]Read Quran

Re: Panic attacks
I dnt specifically understand as to why i'm getting them. I might be stressed subconciously :(
Re: Panic attacks

I have seen ppl geting panic attacks when indulge them selves into namaz specially tasbees(wazifas)
I had them And I had them very very severe. Mine went away
1-when I got bored of them.
2-When I started doing exercise aggressively(heavy lifting may make it worst)
3-When I started dating the really pretty girl from next door.(sorry For the language)
4-In the morning I use to drive my mom to the park and we used to put "tilawat" on the tape that also help putting things in perspective.
5-I made a huge mistake by not sharing my feeling with any one never ever do that. More you talk about it sooner it would go away
I believe 2 and 3 made my body release right chemical And I recovered.
I also believe its a condition which is addressed in quran as "waswas" in surah al-naas.

That one thing you need to stop worrying about. Its like asking why did I get flu.
Just get out of it and out it, and put it behind you . I promise you will come out of it as much stronger person.
Re: Panic attacks
I will try and do that, thanks again :)
Re: Panic attacks
God bless you.

Wazaaif are normally not recommended to be read without the permission because each wazeefa actually has "Mo'akkilaat" and it could burden... however offering obligatory prayers and reading of Quran (as recommended in Quran itself to read at Faj'r) guarantee the "satisfaction of heart" [due to zikr of Allah] .. That was the permise of my rules....
Re: Panic attacks
You should seek the behavioral therapy. However relaxation, yoga and exercise may help.

Re: Panic attacks
Who diagnose that you are having panic attacks ? Are you seeing a doctor ? All the above advice surely will help you but if you are not seeing a doctor please do so for a faster recovery.
I second Arshad's Advice.
