There is no other way but a Trial now where JIT members will be questioned as witnesses, every word will be challenged and authenticated. This has to be a full bench trial, May take, several months but it has to be done.

^^ Why do you think it will not take more than 2 weeks if a decision is not already made? No where accused are not given opportunity, in fact its their right to question witnessesses, provide counter arguments and if they think the evidence is corrupted supply counter evidence etc and yes with out giving accused the full report, there cant be a judgement or that judgement will be so out of whact it will invite street protests. I dont think PMLN will sit in homes, etc.
I am not sure about criminal law but I have been in my administrative law proceedings as a witness, examined / cross examined, writing testimonies etc. The process before proposed Order or Judgement is several rounds of testimonies, rebuttals, ser rebuttals and all the parties are subject to questioning. I think when Asma Jehangir (if retained) brings each member of JIT in witness box and examine them, things will get very interesting. If this is not allowed, than I dont know what is the justice and why wouldnt / shouldnt there be riots etc ?

I mean no proves of money laundering were provided, no proves that Sharif used power or something else to transfer money out of Pakistan in 70s and 80s…
yet they accused Sharifs of money laundering…
One more thing, How Sharifs once thrown out of Pakistan conducted their business in UAE or Saudi or UK is none of Pakistan’s business…whereas, JIT in its report remained focused how bills of Gulf Steel were paid!!! how the shares were transferred to buyer and how does buyer paid the money and these Idiots are asking Dubai govt to verify such share sale/purchase agreement, where none of the govt authority was party ( gulf steel was not a publicaly traded company hence no need of approval from BoDs or any other formality..and that in late 70s) and JIT is concluding that since Dubai govt cannot verify it…the whole deal became suspious…
Here business men often do not remember the bills they paid a month ago, and JIT was thinking that Sharifs would provide exact numbers on the transactions occured some 40 or 50 years ago…
Another Stupid assumption by JIT was, why Sharif sold Gulf Steel when steel business was booming!!! Sorry JIT members, but a private entity started during recession often make an exit during boom period!!! and yes you are stupid to think why they sold it…and make a conclusion on the same thought…
These are PrOves or Jokes?
Now tell me if these kind of things are going to lead to conclusion…shall this report stand in the court of law for that long!!! unless ofcourse the decision like Bhutto is already written and it is mere formality to hold the trial…big example…volume 10 is not given to defendants… why? no body knows…

^^ Well you are 100% correct. What I meant that SC if reject JIT right away will be in huge trouble from credibility stand point. NS will not resign for which this circus was started so SC will need to get themselves out of this and that is a long and slow trial where accused rightfully challenges everything in JIt, bring its members to witness box and cross examine etc. The people who are thinking NS is going out this week or next week, for them they cant digest that JIT is trash and there are quite a few out there so I think this will be a cat and mouse game, a slow process that will simply dilute every thing just in time for 2018 elections.
Yes JIT is report is trash, I didnt read full report as bad habbit of reading only findings and analysis portion of dockets, but as much as i have read, its a pile of opinions and thoughts. Opinions are like something we all have, they are simply not defensible in any court of law, there is no crime identified or proven. For sake of SC, I hope they convene larger bench and let this complete once and for all.

And its quite amusing to see that PMLN is not contesting the authenticity of the documents, but they are trying to argue that they are not attested. They are getting advice from the dumbest minds you can find.

Question here is how can one be accused when not entire set of evidence is shared / discussed with the accused and accused doesnt know whats in the evidence. They are contesting authenticity of documents as the start since that become basis for whether the documents are admissible or not during the Trial. The next stage is to question the authenticity of content., to do that during Trial, the JIT members will be cross examines and they will be quizzed to bring content authenticity in to question and objectionable. Law is a beautiful process that is slow. Showing your cards early is worse. I have no doubt in my mind that there is a very long legal battle ahead on each and every word of JIT, its members, their composition, connection to Flats and most important what exactly is the CRIME here ? Is it Tax evasion or is it Public money corruption.
